Divorce, cheating, break ups, they are perfectly synonymous with Hollywood these days. But no one expected the fabulous couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to hit that road!. We fans are just too naive when it comes to believing in celebrity relationships.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson not only had the most magical on screen chemistry; they were the Hollywood ‘it’ couple for over four years. That’s a lot of time and a lot of love. But what went wrong; was what Kristen describes as “momentary indiscretion”, cheating on Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, the director of her new movie Snow white and the Huntsman. Not only is he 19yrs older than Kristen, he’s married with two kids. Whatever happened to wedding vows!. But then again, in Hollywood, everything is possible.

Kristen who’s known for keeping her private life in hush was devastated and issued a public apology in People Magazine stating, “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Pattinson however, is steering clear from making any direct comment on being cheated on. And through many interviews has focused only on promoting his new movie Cosmopolis. He told George Stephanopoulos, live at the good morning America studios at Times Square, “I’ve never been interested in selling my personal life“.

What is more devastating is the effect of such stunts played by celebrities on their fans. Over and over gain, since years, the loyal fans believe everything their role model actors say. They believe in their relationships, that they would last forever. And time and time again, get disappointed by their movie idols. This is having not only a psychologically negative effect on the younger fans of the twilight couple, but also on how they view relationships in general.

Television and media, has undoubtedly had a great impact on the psyche of young kids, and what they see, is what they learn. With Hollywood depicting such unstable relationships, its causing harm larger in magnitude than a public apology can save.

Another thing to notice is the fact that media and fans are drawing sympathy towards the young couple, but not much attention is being given to the effect this cheating scandal has had on the family of the director!. Rupert Sanders is married to model and actress Liberty Ross. There will definitely be more pain in that house than between a couple who weren't even married.

The fans have mixed opinions about them making it work or just moving on. But that is for them to decide. Yet another couple breaks up due to a cheating scandal. Will we ever get used to it?

The social media has given a new way to the brands to compete! Its not only the preference of the customers but its also the number of fans on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. This has been enhanced by the Olympic Games which required sponsors from the leading brands of the world like Nike, Adidas and others. In such a situation it would be impossible to declare a winner.

But to solve this problem some very smart people have come up with Socialbakers launched in March 2010 to help evaluate such results of competing brands. This unique site allows brands to measure and compare their progress with time. Socialbakers.com has been the most visited site for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn statistics.

With the beginning of this year's Olympic Games in London the brands got an opportunity to trace their status among people through Socialbakers. In fact it is through this that Nike realized that it is topping the list with 166,718 fans on Facebook while Adidas lagged behind with only 80,761 fans. While this was the case on Facebook, Twitter too had similar stories to tell. Nike had as many as 16,020 tweets related to the Olympic Games against 9,295 Olympic related tweets of Adidas. Talking about other brands Mars was better than Cadbury in the twitter field. While Mars boasted off over 29,740 Olympic-themed tweets, Cadbury had only 2,232 of them. Although the Olympic Games have ended with a grand closing ceremony the war for the top position still continues among these brands. For now, lets conclude this article by congratulating Nike for achieving the top position!
