Year 2009 was such a fine year for me. I started the year doing several posts per week, then slowed down posting during the stormy months.

Nevertheless, I’ve listed down the most interesting and informative posts during the year – in case you’ve missed them.

January 2009

The year started with oDesk recognizing my efforts in creating a buzz for their freelance oDesk jobs to many Filipinos. One of my oDesk posts: Get paid by the hour in oDesk, was included as an article in their site.

I got two T-shirts from oDesk FREE and shipped to me via USPS: oDesk Recognized My Efforts

February 2009

In case you’ve missed these two useful tutorials on payment methods, then these should be helpful.

March 2009

Making money on Twitter was the hottest thing on my blog on this summer month.

Are you Twitterpated on Twitter's Money Makers?

April 2009

I guest blogged on JaypeeOnline’s blog for a tutorial on how to move from Blogger to WordPress. Since I ended up doing a comprehensive tutorial, this became a two-post series:

May 2009

This was the time when I started doing hot keyword posts that attracted search engine visitors and got me a significant rise in Google Adsense earnings and other ad network. I’m quite surprised some people still ask what ethical hacking is. Connie Culp, the woman who got a face transplant, was interesting too.

June 2009

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanocon still gives me traffic and comments up to this day.

July 2009

Achieve That Constant Stream of Work (Income) was the only post I did for this month. I was too busy to write new posts.

August 2009 to September 2009

Blogging hiatus.

October 2009

This is one of the most inspiring true-to-life stories I’ve ever encountered. The boy had been able to provide electricity to his small town by creating windmills made out of junk.

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

November 2009

How to Earn Money from Blogging: Pretty basic article for newbie bloggers. I wrote this in the efforts that newbie bloggers could find easily this post easily through the search engines.

December 2009

This is what I call the first blogger mini-meetup! I had a great time with The Lunch Break Blogger. I hope to meet more bloggers soon!

Also, I had changed this blog’s color, but not the template. I hope you can provide me feedback on this: New Theme Colors for The Lady Programmer for the Year 2010.

Nokia X6 Touch Screen Phone

Posted: 31 Dec 2009 05:18 PM PST

We are pleased to announce that the wait has been worthwhile, but there is much more than just the X6 its screen fantasy, this phone also positioning in Nokia Comes With Music Range so you get a period of 12 months all-you-can-eat subscription music service from Nokia. And in addition, Nokia has equipped the handset with a mammoth 32 GB of storage to ensure you can enjoy all these downloadable songs.

Nokia X6

At first glance, the X6 is more like a traditional candy bar handset as a touch screen phone Full Blown, because it measures 111 x 51 x 13.8mm and its display is much narrower than most other devices connect. The advantage of this is that it’s more comfortable to hold in your hand than the larger models like the iPhone, HTC Hero or even own the Nokia N900, but obviously it also undermines the features that perform better on larger screens, such as the Web browser. Perhaps surprisingly for a Nokia high-end, the handset feels a little plasticky. The main culprit here is the battery cover is rather flimsy, but that the issue of phone torso twists and creaks a little more than we had hoped. On the design front, the phone has certainly not been blessed with supermodel looks, but this is not an ugly duckling either.

Nokia has added some nice touches here and there to try to bring out from the crowd as the green LED on the top and bottom of the phone and the touch of a button to the right of the Nokia logo that calls a shortcut bar for commonly used applications such as music player and Web browser. As it is a touchscreen phone is not all that many hardware buttons punctuate. The power button at the top is held by the company switch to toggle the volume slider lock and the camera button on the right side, but outside the control of the usual calls and menu keys on the front while the rest is controlled by the excellent capacitive touchscreen. Nexus One Google Phone

And if anyone still doubts that he might be on the Nexus one, then two other pieces of breaking news today should put that to rest. Sony Handycam HDR-TG7VE Technology Digital Camcorder

Posted: 30 Dec 2009 08:27 PM PST

This model is almost the same size as the TG3, similar in size to a small electric razor, but packs even more inside. In addition to offering 16 GB of memory card, where the TG3 had none, the TG7VE a GPS receiver board. However, the basic specifications are the same as before. Both are built around a 1/5in ClearVid CMOS sensor with Exmor technology from Sony.

Sony Handycam HDR-TG7VE

This places the table sensor wiring behind the pixels, the light is no longer allowed for greater sensitivity in low light. We generally found that technology effectively. The sensor has the same 2.36 megapixel gross, and both use the Sony BIONZ image processor. So overall the picture quality should be almost identical between the two models. The TG7VE can shoot up to full HD, with a data rate of 16Mbits/sec. This allows a little more than two hours of video stored on the internal memory of 16 GB, and you can increase this with removable Flash. Unsurprisingly, it will be in the form of ownership of Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo format, which is usually a little more expensive than SD. The TG7VE can also take still images up to 2304 x 1728, which is still the same as the GT3, and requires a certain amount of interpolation.

As mentioned previously, the TG7VE (and TG3) differ from camcorders Pocket Internet by offering many more features of the camcorder. The most immediate benefit of these is the true 10x optical zoom, rather than relying on the value diversity undermines digital. The zoom is operated through a ring at the rear of the unit, which is easier to use with your thumb. A large button in the center of the ring controls the start and stop recording. A small button skips separate still images, although these will be limited to 2.3 megapixels if you’re already shooting video at the time, and flash is not activated. [via trustedreviews]

Microsoft confirms Windows Mobile 6.5.3 version

Posted: 30 Dec 2009 12:06 PM PST

logo wm large 249x30 Microsoft confirms Windows Mobile 6.5.3 version

After the release of Windows Mobile versions starting from 6.5 and 6.5.1 Microsoft has now confirmed the existence of Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and possibly its imminent release too in documentation provided for developers.

On Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Developer Center an entry appears detailing Widget development for Windows Mobile. If you read there “Beginning with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 release, touchable tiles replace soft keys” as stated in the first paragraph.
Windows Mobile 6.5.3 builds have been leaking left, right and centre over at XDA-Developers for months but Microsoft has kept a tight lip about its plans. There were rumours that the software giant may name the next point release, Windows Mobile 6.7 which would be designed to add better touch functionality,

WMexperts notes the timing is suspicious. Microsoft’s CEO, Steve Ballmer, is due to kick off a CES keynote next Wednesday and i believe the company would detail the point release during CES. Ballmer is also due to hold a joint press conference with LG and Sprint shortly after the keynote where it’s rumored a WiMax smart phone release.

Customers who wish for any other plan will need to purchase the phone on its own, which could possibly save them money in the future, if their plan is cheaper. However, Google will be offering the phone unsubsidized, which will come unlocked, allowing consumers to use it on any network.

Consumers can only buy five Nexus One phones per Google Account and the phone will be sold at www.google.com/phone.If you look in Indian price it would come to 26-27k.But if you see the specs they are mind blowing. What’ s say!
