Infographic to show how PlayStation Network process got hacked Posted: 09 May 2011 05:38 AM PDT You already know about the news of Playstation network getting hacked few days back and the consequences due to it.Sony handed out some charts at one of its press conferences to explain how the gaming network was hacked, with giving info of the number of users from each region who's data may have been compromised. According to the above diagram hackers made use of internet and injected comunication tool via a vulnerability in the application server and form a intrusion route to squeeze into the server. From their gained access to database by attacking the db server thereby leading to accessing account information of so many PSN accounts.Interestingly it appears the hack didn't originate from a jail broken PS3 as some had first thought, but a good ol' PC instead.
