Samsung i9100 is the dual-core Galaxy 2, sequel to the Galaxy S? Posted: 15 Nov 2010 08:51 AM PST You know about the Xperia 12 aka Sony Ericsson Anzu which is supposedly to be on the Gingerbread flagship right here is some more gingerbread info – James Bond of cellphones — alias Eldar Murtazin — claims to be playing with a Samsung GT-i9100 right now, calling it the “Galaxy 2″ and saying it’s “so technically advanced” thanks in part to a dual-core processor. It seems like a long shot that this would be the Cortex-A9-based Orion since chips and development boards are just now being sampled — but considering how far in advance Murtazin tends to score phones, we can’t rule anything out.
One possible scenario is that the i9100 could be something akin to a TouchWiz-skinned version of the upcoming Nexus S, much as HTC’s Desire was essentially a Sense-skinned version of the Nexus One. Samsung, of course, has been pushing TouchWiz very hard across its Galaxy S line this year, and if the Nexus S is as beastly as the rumors are claiming it to be, there’s little doubt that Samsung would love to repurpose the hardware for something with a little more of its flavor thrown in. Speaking of the Galaxy S, keep in mind that the original European GSM model goes by the code GT-i9000, so it would stand to reason that the i9100 could be the proper successor — and with Gingerbread-based TouchWiz and a dual-core processor on board, we’d say they’re off to a flyer. Motorola Motopad 7 inch tablet with Android 3.0 in the works Posted: 15 Nov 2010 07:51 AM PST Here is some great news. You know how Motorola helped Google usher in Android 2.0 things seem to be more interesting as Moto plans to do the same thing with Android 3.0. Details for the time being are remarkably slim, but Mobile-Review.com — home of trusted insider Eldar Murtazin — reports that Motorola has been chosen to unveil the upcoming tablet-friendly version of Google's OS. The device on which Android 3.0 will be revealed is said to have been dubbed MOTOPAD, which is certainly believable albeit remarkably uninspired. The only other detail provided for now is the claim that Motorola's upcoming Android 3.0 tablet will be a 7-inch offering.More info will be updated once i receive them

New Samsung flagship phone coming in february Posted: 15 Nov 2010 12:18 AM PST Here some rocking news for Sammy lovers. If you look at the snap below it depicts a possible upcoming Samsung handset which is due in Feb 2011.The nameless Android kit apparently sports Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), a 4.3-inch or 4.5-inch sAMOLED2 (Super AMOLED 2) display, an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, DNLA, GPS, full HD video recording and playback, and a 1.2GHz processor. This beast of a device is reportedly due in February of next year, and will be Samsung's flagship phone for the first half of 2011.So how does that sound ? You heard the good news time for some bad news the image shown next to the "Revolution in Design" heading on the slide does not depict the Samsung phone we just described. In fact, it's not even a Samsung product. Instead, it's an old Apiotek SkyPhone. While that doesn't necessarily mean the slide is fake we count on the reliable sources weirder things have happened in authentic documents — were not exactly sure why someone on Samsung's marketing team would have an image of an old Apiotek VoIP phone sitting on his or her computer, or why one would be intentionally yanked off the Internet when this slide was being assembled. We ll confirm once we get some more info.
