Hitachi has revealed family of enterprise-class SSD called Ultrastar SSD400S. It has 2.5-inch with a SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) 6.0 Gbps interface.

Hitachi Ultrastar SSD400S delivers sequential speeds of up to 535MB/s read and 500MB/s write with 6Gb/s SAS, and 380MB/s read and 350MB/s write with 4Gb/s FC. Hitachi drives are suitable be used in servers, network storage area and other equipment offerings.

The 400GB capacity can handle 35PB of random writes over the life of the drive as a result. The drives draw 1.7W during idle and 5.5W in use. Hitachi GST Ultrastar SSD400S has already shipped with select OEMs.

Kingston DataTraveler R500 has rubberized casing, a USB 2.0 interface and provide read and write speeds of up to 30MB/s and 20MB/s. It’s has dimension of 70 x 22.68 x 12.40 mm with price €36.40 for 16GB model, €70.50 for 32GB, and €162.38 for 64GB version.

LG Electronics revealed a new LG Quantum smartphone available via AT&T with price $199.99 for 2-years contract or $499.99 with no contract. It’s powered by 1GHz processor, Windows Phone 7 OS and 16GB internal memory card.

LG Quantum has 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480×800 pixel resolution, 5M pixel autofocus camera and flash, can record 720p video, bluetooth 2.1 stereo, wifi 802.11, 3G network and 1500mAh battery. The dimension is 4.7 x 2.34 x 0.60 inches and weighs only 6.21 ounces.
