Google has finally released its new version of browser i.e Google Chrome 4.0 for Windows which comes with added 1500+ extensions support and bookmark sync features. You can check for the new version manually if you're already using Google Chrome for Windows (go to Settings > About Google Chrome), or you can wait for the new release to be automatically updated within the next week.

Here is what it’s posted on the official blog

We’re excited to usher in the new year with a bundle of browser goodness for the stable version of Google Chrome. With today’s new stable release, all Google Chrome users on PCs can access over 1,500 new features, through our new extension system.

Extensions are little programs, created by developers, which add useful functionality to the browser and to the websites you visit. Some provide you with alerts and notifications, others let you easily access your favorite web services from icons next to your address bar, and there are lots more.

Bookmark sync is a handy feature for those of you who use several computers — say, a laptop at work and a desktop at home. You can enable bookmark sync to synchronize your bookmarks on all of your computers so that when you create a bookmark on one computer, it’s automatically added across all your computers. This means that you won’t need to manually recreate the bookmark each time you switch computers.

Lastly but certainly not the least, we’ve improved performance (as measured by Mozilla’s Dromaeo DOM Core Tests) by 42% over our last stable release and 400% since our first stable release last year.

To those using Google Chrome on Linux, extensions are enabled on the beta channel. And for those using Google Chrome for Mac, hang tight — we’re working on bringing extensions, bookmark sync and more to the beta soon. Those currently using the stable version for Windows will be automatically updated within the next week (or you can check for updates manually).

For web developers and designers, we’re excited to integrate a number of new HTML5 APIs in this stable release, including LocalStorage, Database API, WebSockets, and more. To dive into these features, read on in the Chromium Blog.

Google previously launched extensions on the beta channel, and says over 1,500 extensions have now made their way to the extensions gallery. The other new feature baked into the Chrome browser for Windows, Bookmark sync, is particularly useful if you use more than one computer, as it enables you synchronize your browser bookmarks on all of your machines. So give it a try and let me know your feedback.

So that leaves no space for Phenom II X3.So you would have to console yourself by the fact that the new Phenom II X2 555 BE is AMD’s fastest ever dual-core processor (as it was overclocked to 6.6GHZ), and priced at $99 (Rs 4,570), that is around Rs 4.5k, (same as the Phenom II X2 550 BE) uses the latest C3 revision which has hardware C1E and may overclock better than the older revision C2 chips.Early benchmarks show that the even the Phenom II X2 555 is unlockable to a quad. thanks to Silicon madness for the video showing this feat and the image.
