AMD launches 5 new 45nm based processors Posted: 26 Jan 2010 05:33 AM PST After Intel released 45nm Penryns, now its the turn of AMD to join the 45nm segment.AMD has launched a new range of 45nm processors. The processors include two new Phenoms and two Athlons. The details of the new processors are Phenom II X4 910e,Phenom II X2 555 BE,Athlon II X4 635,Athlon II X3 440,Athlon II X2 255.The feature specs for the same can be seen by the image below. So that leaves no space for Phenom II X3.So you would have to console yourself by the fact that the new Phenom II X2 555 BE is AMD’s fastest ever dual-core processor (as it was overclocked to 6.6GHZ), and priced at $99 (Rs 4,570), that is around Rs 4.5k, (same as the Phenom II X2 550 BE) uses the latest C3 revision which has hardware C1E and may overclock better than the older revision C2 chips.Early benchmarks show that the even the Phenom II X2 555 is unlockable to a quad. thanks to Silicon madness for the video showing this feat and the image.
