Three Zune Phone Models Mobile World Congress

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 03:35 PM PST

Beginning last year there has been much discussion about Microsoft launching a Zune Phone, not much has been heard in recent months, that is until now. Overlooking a recent software update for the Zune media player HD, there was a secret to hide inside, and that the launch of three models of Zune phone.

Three Zune Phone Models

If you believe this story istartedsomething, then sync, it is perfect for several months in advance of next Mobile World Congress. We must ask what these three variants of the model will, they will not have to do with the size of storage, such as model numbers on products currently clustered Zune.

2009 was not a great year for Microsoft, but 2010 seems to be much better, not in the cell phone market, but in other areas of its activity. Windows mobile phone sales were down all the time because of the popularity of Apple’s iPhone and the constant bombardment of Android smartphones.

Microsoft is hoping that its delayed Windows Mobile 7 will transform its fortunes in the handset market, but we believe it is too late for that. It does not matter if they come with a better mobile operating system, they need hardware that goes with it, and many of their current partners are now beginning to back Google’s Android much more. HTC Obsession Diamond3 Renderings Smartphone

The HTC Obsession AKA Diamond3 has been rumors that Windows Mobile device. Some reports have emerged recently, which show the device with some form of Google Android. Although everything seems a bit too photoshopped, rumors say that the device when launched could not support two operating systems, so a Windows version 7 and Android.

There are some possibilities above and below phone images. Firstly and most likely is that they are false just photoshopped with a header Android with Chrome browser below, on the other hand they are photoshopped and still showing a more recent version of Android and although not official photos could still be an idea of what to expect, or third, there will be both a Windows Mobile and Android version is available. If the latter is the case, then this is the first time I heard of where the phone is used for the same two OSes.

I vote for false if at the time until solid evidence arrives. Lets hope some showing live pictures from the OS running. [via gadgetvenue]

LG Serie 1 Retro TV Technology Display

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 09:35 AM PST

Televisions are generally not interesting enough to turn a lot of heads. Of course, everyone drool over the expensive flat screen television, or twice the size of your current version, but they are almost all black and shiny.

LG Serie 1 Retro TV

LG brings back very new TV that is truly a breath of fresh air if you’re tired of the same old televisions black box. Of course, it goes a little further back in time, but sometimes it’s nice to return to the old. Especially because sometimes it feels as if something remotely is looking for a new little generic.

This is not really a TV where the new technology is hidden within an old framework. It’s really an old 4:3 CRT. The 14-inch screen may not be new technology, but at least it looks a little younger. Some people swear more than just watch old games better on older TVs. The 1 Series LG televisions are retailing for about $ 216 in Korea. [via coolest-gadgets]

Verbatim Wireless Laser Nano Mouse

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 03:35 AM PST

Although Logitech, Microsoft and Razer are major players when it comes to keyboards and mice, there are many other manufacturers market devices. Verbatim, perhaps best known as a manufacturer of storage media, is actually a wide range of mouse on offer – from models to play with all the bells and whistles to the small Nano Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse we look today.

Verbatim Wireless Laser Nano Mouse

Same size as the Logitech Cordless Laser Notebook Mouse, this symmetrical little rodent comes with a tiny wireless receiver that operates at 2.4GHz and uses the laser sensor near ubiquity of tracking movements. In the absence of metal parts and flowing two AAA batteries, Verbatim’s Nano weighs only 85g, and it does not feel as solid as the model of Logitech or Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000.

To be honest, it does not feel so well constructed that one of these mice either, with very minor niggles here and there, detracting from the experience. These include the insertion of the battery a little clumsy and the dongle require a very firm push to get it out of its spring slot – but at least there is no chance it would ever come by accident. Note on the minor problems mentioned above can be excused considering that the mouse does not cost almost half the price of those we compared.

The main body of the mouse is soft plastic matte black with shiny black bands on each side, if the soft-touch top section can also be done in blue, red and pink – more purple, green, graphite and yellow if you are lucky enough to live in the United States. It is also refreshing to find a manufacturer who merely refers to colors by their real names! The ergonomics of this mouse is ambidextrous, meanwhile, are decent. Although its shape does not support your palm the way back arched the Logitech V550 Nano fact, it’s still fun to use, at about the same level as Microsoft Mobile 6000. The slight indents in the mouse buttons and the two parties support the toes. [via trustedreviews]
