Posted: 10 Jun 2009 02:49 AM PDT Yesterday i was searching Piratebay for some movies and i just hooked into the Windows 7 7225 and 7227 torrents. As i was kinda busy i didn’t go to check the validity of comments and the checksums so i assumed it was a fake build.Today the news got confirmed as Neowin just reported the news too.So as far as Microsoft is concerned leaks are common. I am not sure its done on purpose or accidently. After the Windows 7 7201 Sp1 leak this is the next leak.Even Windows 7 7225 also leaked but its has not much changes and its same as the 7200 RC2 build. The build tag is 7227.0.winmain_sp.090602-2110 indicating that the build is just over a week old. According to Russian site Wzor, sometime between June 10th and June 15th, the last build handed out to corporate partners will be distributed. The build will be 6.1.7229.0.winmain.090604-1901. After this only RTM candidate builds will be compiled. None of these builds will be distributed externally to partners. Here is a list of some changes in Build 7227: 1. Changes in the mechanism for dispkaying |
Posted: 09 Jun 2009 12:35 PM PDT Yesterday when the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which is Phil Schiller also made a point on iPhone 3GS,iPhone 3.0 demos,Iphone SDK and Iphone 3.0 OS,Snow leopard(Mac OSX 10.6),Safari 4,Quick time X, New Mac book Air and also 13,15 and 17 inch Mac Book Pros.Let me tell you what happened. iPhone 3GS: This is the new Iphone released by Apple after the 3G and 2G. Here ‘S’ stands for Speed and is believed to be the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet, packed with incredible and awesome new features including improved speed and performance–up to twice as fast as iPhone. Launching Messages 2.1x faster, opens an Excel attachment 3.6x faster. This also includes OpenGL ES 2.0 support based on a technology called OpenCL It also comes with data speeds upped to 7.2Mbps HSDPA and also features a 3 megapixel camera with Auto focus, auto white balance auto-exposure, tap-to-focus.Now thats awesome. Its included with better light sensitivity. Macro as close as 10cm away, and better low light performance. And there’s an API for developers. But the best thing about this camera, is that it also captures video.Check the video clarity. You go into the camera application, select if you want to do video, gives 30fps VGA, When you go into the app, you can see the video and scrub along with your finger. You can also edit it with a tap of your finger.Share it from the iPhone to YouTube. And also can tap share and send it in an email,if the carrier supports it, it can be send as an MMS.Build video capture right into your apps with the API. There’s another great feature named voice control. You can hold down the home button, and a brand new UI pops up viz the voice control interface. You can make calls with your voice, you can control your iTunes by voice. It wil also the currently playing artist by voice. Digital Compass is integrated into maps which shows compass to use orientation on maps. The compass app is a new one that comes on the iPhone — you can tap to go right into Maps, and if you tap a second time, it will orient the map to where you’re facing. It has better battery life and hardware encryption(Remote wipe, encrypted iTunes backups).Up to 9 hours WiFi, 10 hours video, 30 hours audio, 12 hours 2G talk, 5 hours 3G talk time. The price for Iphone 3GS is fixed at 199$ for 16GB and 299$ for 32GB.It will come in black and white colors. It will be available on June 19th stateside and in 80 more countries in August although Iphone 3G 8G price will be selling at only 99$ on a new 2-year AT&T contract. I am guessing any remaining 16GB iPhone 3G units will be lessened at closeout rates as well. Oh BTW if you’re mid-contract on AT&T (with any phone), you’ll be asked to shell out a whopping $299 for one of these 8GB units or $399 / $499 for the 16GB / 32GB iPhone 3GS. You’ll have to pay a bit more if you’re mid-contract, though — $299 for the 3G and $399/$499 for the 3G S. That’ insanely expensive.
Next thing talked was iPhone 3.0 demos: Some demos like Gameloft's Asphalt 5,ScrollMotion's iPhone book store,TomTom,Pasco,Zipcar,Line 6 and Chordmaster were shown.More info on them here. iPhone SDK 3.0: The things included 1,000 new APIs,In-app purchases,CoreLocation i.e turn-by-turn directions and embeddable Google Maps and Push Notifications via alerts, sounds, badges. iPhone OS 3.0:
iPhone: Some discussions about iphone about how many units sold including the ipod touch and iphones and the number of apps in store. Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6):
Safari 4:
QuickTime X:
New MacBook Air:
