HP Recalls 70,000 Notebook Batteries Due to Fire Hazard Posted: 14 May 2009 09:12 PM PDT If you happen to own a HP Pavilion or Compaq Presario laptop that you've bought between August 2007 to March 2008, then your machine's notebook battery might be one of those that results to fire hazard. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission, together with HP, has just released this HP battery recall announcement over the web. Using these batteries can result to fire hazard, as there were already two reported incidents where the cause of the fire damage was nailed down on the overheating of these laptop batteries. HP estimated that there are 70,000 batteries that are affected by the recall. HP is willing to replace those recalled batteries for FREE. The operation inside AUTEC is always kept secret, since this is part of the US Navy military operations. The place is known for underwater research and weapons testing. But knowing the presence of UFO activity prompts up everyone to know more about the mystery that lies behind it. CBT: The Future of Training Posted: 14 May 2009 01:22 AM PDT There seem to be a rising interest in computer based training courses offered online. It is uncommon to see people searching for such courses such as Windows 2008 CBT and they are not just for the free tutorials that they can find online: they also want to get certified and prove that they are capable of those skills. This YouTube video from K-Alliance is a part of the sample of what those CBT courses are like, but to get all the stuff and all the advanced learning that comes with such courses, interested individuals will have to keep in touch with K-Alliance. Indeed, online CBT training courses has really changed how people learn things. A decade ago, computer education still followed the old way of getting students to enrol in a class: they have to attend regular classes as it had been centuries back. A few decades back, I could remember some offers that are advertised on magazines, promising certifications and diploma courses by just simply studying at home. Now students simply need a computer hooked up to the internet to start learning. But there is also a downside to this kind of studying arrangement.
