The media probably led us to believe the negative effects of hacking. Almost everyone would agree with me that hacking is the evil side of using computers. Successful hackers in their teenage years are often sensationalized by the media – it's either that they get to prison or they get hired on the good side. Eventually, this created careers made solely for ethical hackers: individuals hired by huge companies and businesses who are working against those black hat hackers who write malicious scripts. Ethical hacking is a growing career in Information Technology particularly in the IT Security field. The EC-Council site even offers this course as online classes – for those who cannot attend to the usual regular classes for any reason. This course covers the following topics: Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics, Disaster Recovery and Secure Programming. A professional ethical hacker makes sure that he knows how to deal with the vulnerabilities of the company's computer network.
