While our mobile world seems to consist of devices that find new ways of getting smaller every year, we are still burdened with the need to carry ever more separate gadgets to hold this world together. The IF aims to change all that.

Carrying a smartphone, tablet and laptop all day can be a bore, and if you factor in the chargers (usually proprietary!) the picture is not a pretty one. The IF aims to change all that.

In the default configuration the IF is simply a cellphone. The first unfold and its a tablet, the next reveals a keyboard.

The screen is actually two and each can rotate around its own axis so you can show friends one screen while you navigate on the other.

The IF runs under Ubuntu, Android and Windows but the CPU and GPU details have not yet been announced although the manufacturer promises at least 4GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

The IF is using crowd-funding to get off the ground via IndieGoGo and even if the target is not reached the device is to come to market in the summer of next 2014.

Depending on the model, prices are from $650 (≈ $650) to $1300 (≈ $1300), a price that is not just low, but is defended with the argument that the individual devices were together so much more expensive.

Great in theory, but     whether this innovative combination of devices makes it to reality, remains to be seen.
