Dolphin Concept Car wins Michellin competition Posted: 09 Feb 2013 01:38 PM PST Designers Liu Shun, Gao Zhiqiang, and Chen Zhilei have created the third winner of the Michellin design challenge of 2013 and have created a concept car design with a sleek streamlined form for a family car.
Dolphin Concept CarThe shape is just part of the many facets of the design that contribute to the overall concept of a low energy family car. The concept tag line is ‘Half! Lightweight with passion”. Other features of the vehicle include:
The drive-chain includes a maglev DC motor with dual stators which apparently brings power at a lighter weight cost than conventional engines. This family car of the future, as its name suggests, takes its inspiration from aquatic mammals, which is so very evident from its streamlined and sculpted shape.
