I’m back again with a whole lot of information that you’ll find nowhere else but right here. Today i’m going to give you some valuable information about the Tribeca Film Festival. This came up as a result of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre [WTC]. It was started by Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro and Criang Hatkoff. They specify their main aim as allowing the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film. In the years 2006 and 2007 it had 8600 submissions out of which 1500 were screened.

You can see a verity of screenings like documentaries, shorts, family – friendly films and narrative features. The festival is attended by three million people and generates up to 600 million annually. Now that's big money, isn’t it?

The three million people attending the show each year are mainly from the fields of art, films, and music. Now lets take a look at the history of the film festival since its birth. The inauguration of the festival required a prior planning of 120 days involving more than 1300 volunteers. It is shocking to know that the inaugural ceremony itself was attended by as many as 150,000 people. Merely by this figure you can understand how popular it was since the day of its establishment. In 2003 the festival attracted as many as 300,000 people and featured documentaries, short films and independent features. Later the festival also included children's films which attracted a crowd of 250,000 people.

Eventually the popularity of the film reached the New York City and then went on to spread out all over Manhattan. This was in 2006. Since 2010 the festival is being run by Tribeca Enterprises as a business. The following year L.A Noire became the first ever video game to be recognized by the Tribeca Film Festival. What’s more? Even before you could realize it was already time for this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. It was held from 18th of April to 29th of April 2012!

The top awards of Tribeca Film Festival 2012 went to WAR WITCHTHE WORLD BEFORE HERUNA NOCHE, and WAVUMBA.

The Dark Knight Rises – Official Trailer [HD]:

It is always nice to watch the trailer and experience the thrill but I’m going to spoil your thrill by quoting a few lines spoken by the characters in the trailer. What’s interesting is the Catwoman’s line, “My mother warned me about getting into cars with strange men,” to which Batman replies, “This isn’t a car.” Catwoman also points out Batman’s sacrifice to the city: “You’ve given them everything.” Batman, out of breath and obviously in pain quietly answers, “Not everything. Not yet.” Interesting, isn’t it? But to know what happens next, you have no choice other than waiting for 20th of July when the movie releases.
