Users are invited to submit their email address to be notified when the site launches. It is still not clear when the US service will go live. A Spotify spokesman said this evening:
Spotify’s launch expansion into the US has been anticipated for over a year but has been delayed by negotiations with record labels. What is Spotify?Spotify is a subscription service that allows you to listen to any music in their extensive catalogue of 13 million tracks. The music is streamed so there’s no need to wait for a download. There are three tier of membership ‘Free’ which gives users reduced streaming time and is ad-supported. Spotify ‘Unlimited’ removes the time limits and the ads. Spotify ‘Premium’ adds mobile playback, ‘off-line’ playback (that’s encrypted downloads, folks), better sound quality, and the ability to play music through sound systems. Related Posts: |
