| Corsair USB Military Flash Survivor GT 8GB Posted: 15 Mar 2011 09:07 PM PDT Corsair launch the durability USB flash drive with rubber – The Flash Survivor GT. What actually protects the drive is the thick anodized 6061 type 2 aluminum tube, complete with two end caps that fit inside the tube for structural support and the drive being permanently attached to the thinner of the two ends.
At either end of the drive are two rubber collars for light shock protection, although they’re actually better used as grips for unscrewing the drive from its tube. Also on either end are two ring holes, so it’s up to you to determine if you want to attach the ball chain lanyard to the drive or the housing.
A rubber seal of EPDM (monomeric of ethylene propylene diene), known for its resistance to the temperatures and the tear, is also in place at the edge of the screw threads to keep water out of the order to the depths up to 200 meters. After unscrewing of the order of instantaneous the 8GB of the tube, you can see that it is completely thin, and will not block the ports close to USB. A small blue LED will flicker on the top of the unit to indicate the activity of drive. For the summary when it’s already tested in corsair survivor review, The Good it’s fast, stylish, doesn’t take up adjacent USB port, extremely durable and generous 10 year warranty & support. But the disadvantages are endcap attachment to tube by 1mm collar and glue, also it’s hard to unscrew for the first time. |
