| Packard Bell Go USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Posted: 27 Jan 2011 02:56 AM PST Packard Bell is proud to present their first line of USB 3.0 PB Go external hard drive. It has 2.5-inch (5400 rpm) hard drive with 320GB/500GB/750GB of capacity and 8MB of buffer cache.
It will still be faster than the old USB 2.0 drive with starts line-up at €70. Also bundled with the Packard Bell Software Suite which includes apps for data backup, synchronization, archiving, and saving power. |
| Hitachi UltraStar 7K3000 SATA and SAS Hard Drive Posted: 26 Jan 2011 06:37 PM PST Hitachi revealed an Enterprice hard disk drive called UltraStar 7K3000 with 2 model: 2TB and 3TB capacities. It using Serial ATA 6.0 GBps and Serial Attached SCSI(SAS).
It’s using big buffer cache with 64MB with 7200 rpm, 2-million hours of MTBF, average seek time 8.2ms and the noise output 29dB. Hitachi UltraStar 7K3000 already ship for SATA model and mid-year for SAS model. This enterprice HDD is useful for data farms, cloud network storage, data warehouse and disk-to-disk backup.
