Samsung Favors WP7 Over Android,HTC Follows

It’s been almost a month since Windows Phone 7 released over few of countries in Europe ,Asia and quite recently in the United States.Though we haven’t yet got the official numbers about the phone sells yet .But it seems ,Samsung and HTC have already made up their mind about their future with the Windows Phone 7.

There were 5devices from HTC and 2 From Samsung for launch of WP7 and now as reported by asiaone who spoke with Thailand executives from different manufacturer companies about the future of mobile market.

This is what the HTC (Thailand)’s country manager Nattawat said “We will be focused on both Android- and Windows Phone 7-based smart phones. These platforms have the biggest potential market. It is expected that by 2012, the combination of Android and Windows Phone 7 will represent a major apart of the world smart-phone market,” .

Talking about Samsung’s Love for Windows Phone 7 ,here’s what Head of  Samsung Electronics Thailand's Telecommunication Unit, Sitthichoke Nopchinabutr said,“Next year, Samsung will introduce 15 to 20 new smart-phone models using Android, Windows, and Brada operating systems. For every 50 smart phones using Windows, it will make 24 using Android and five using Brada.”

However LG doesn’t seem to have liked the new platform as there were no talks about any future Windows Phone 7 detailing except for the 10 android devices announcement.

AMD to step into Meego ring

It seems like another big brand want to join hands with the development of the open-source operating system MeeGo.AMD announced that it will "provide engineering expertise" to the MeeGo project in the hopes of establishing "technical foundations for next-generation mobile platforms and embedded devices."

Ben Bar-Haim, AMD's corporate vice president of software development said

We are glad to provide engineering resources to joint industry efforts like MeeGo and expect that this operating system will help drive our embedded plans and create expanded market opportunities for our forthcoming Accelerated Processing Units.

The MeeGo Linux-based open-source operating system is primarily designed for mobile hardware platforms such as ultra-mobile notebooks, tablets, embedded in-vehicle infotainment systems and smart phones.

The MeeGo project is hosted by The Linux Foundation, a non-profit consortium dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux. AMD is currently a gold level member of the Linux Foundation and has a seat on The Linux Foundation's board of directors.
