Samsung Galaxy Tab now available on T-Mobile for $399 Posted: 12 Nov 2010 06:52 AM PST Samsung Galaxy Tab has kept it promise as it was supposed to be released on Nov 10th and now its available to purchase from T-Mobile USA. $399 gets you the 7-inch Tab plus a two-year contract with the American arm of Deutsche Telekom, or you can pay the full $599 and make off with just the tablet itself. Or you can head towards Verizon to start dishing Android slates your way as well — the choice, as always, is yours. Just try not to think about that gorgeous 7-inch Super AMOLED panel that Samsung’s busy showing off in Japan right now.

AMD GPU roadmap points to a happy 2011 for Radeon lovers Posted: 12 Nov 2010 06:44 AM PST Even though ATI name might be dead that doesn’t stop AMD stopping the read beast demons.AMD’s recent financial analyst day has made official what many of us already knew or suspected: there’ll be three new high-end GPUs forthcoming in the first quarter of 2011. The slides explicitly describe the recently launched HD 6870 / 6850 as mere refreshes, aiming to bring HD 5800 series performance in a more efficient package, but peek beyond them and you’ll see an armada of HD 6900 chips just itching to bring the fight to NVIDIA and its newly crowned GTX 580 king of the single-GPU hill. No specs yet, of course, but at least we now know there’ll be some fireworks to greet us early in the new year.Check out pic for future plans of AMD. iOS 4.2 delayed due to iPad wifi issues, new GM build coming soon Posted: 12 Nov 2010 05:46 AM PST Two days ago it was reported that iOS 4.2 would be released on friday i.e today but it seems that it’s delayed now due to WiFi connection issues experienced by many users running the GM build on the iPad. The issues have been widely documented on MacRumors forums (here and here), Twitter and Apple's own discussion boards, both by users and developers. You can check out a video of the bug in action below. Many users of the Golden Master version of 4.2 reported that a WiFi connection could be established by their devices but, once made, they were unable to actually do anything on the ‘net, and not being able to do anything on the ‘net is what we like to call a Very Bad Thing. No word on exactly when a new version will be available, but it should still drop within the next few weeks. Click here to view the embedded video. Posted: 12 Nov 2010 12:27 AM PST Engadget got holds on what seems to be the Nexus 2 aka Nexus S.This is supposedly to be Google phone from Samsung, running on Gingerbread and the presumed sequel to the HTC-produced Nexus One. These pictures were taken about a month ago, but it’s still unclear exactly when we can expect an announcement. Needless to say, if you happen to be near a Google or Samsung campus, keep a keen eye out for these things right now. When Engadget contacted them as usual they were told that the company doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation.
