Microsoft launched Windows Phone 7 a couple of weeks ago and the phones were made available to some of the first lucky countries like New Zealand and Australia and some countries in European Region from October 21st.

Though the Marketplace was opened for the developers a couple of weeks ago ,not all the developers were allowed (only a few selected ones had a chance for launching their applications ) and within a couple of weeks of its existence the Windows Phone 7 application base has reached 1000 applications milestone as reported by WMPU.

So we can expect a lot more applications on the way once the Marketplace is made available for all the developers in upcoming weeks.

Android Market Cross 100,000 Mark

Android OS based devices has been one of the highest selling till date and if we look at the applications which are offered by Android Market it’s getting better and better with a tons of Free apps and a lot of high quality paid apps to offer.

Now the Android Market has crossed yet another milestone,it has recently crossed the 100,000 applications mark as tweeted on the official AndroidDev account .Though this is not even half as compared to Apples App store for the iPhone but with this rate we might see android taking over the Apple within a few months or so.

PlayStation Phone( For Real )!!!

Well we have seen a lot of rumored posts about this phone which is believed to be running on Androids upcoming version 3.0 AKA Gingerbread.

As reported earlier by Engadget the phone boasts in a 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8655 Processor along with a 512MB RAM,1GB ROM with a screen size of around 4 ” mark and running on Android Gingerbread along with Sony’s “Custom Marketplace” for the Games for the “PlayStation Phone”.Surprisingly instead of the usual Memory Stick it has got a Micro SD slot.

Though there are speculations about the launch date for later 2010 (Holidays season) this one still looks like it’s in the prototyping stage .But who knows SE guys might pull off something to make it available this holiday season ,With the Windows Phone 7 launch for US just around the corner you never know!!! if not that then 2011 for sure.
