They are Asus B53F-SO042X, Asus B53F-SO043X, and Asus B53J-SO042X. All three boast with spill-resistant keyboards, Sonata 8-cell batteries and are pre-loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system.
The high-end Asus B53J-SO042X is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-450M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a 512MB Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics. The Asus B53F-SO042X and B53F-SO043X notebooks are powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3-370M processor, 2GB of memory, an Intel GMA HD graphics, a 320GB hard drive, and 3G connectivity (B53F-SO043X). All three come with 15.6-inch LED-backlit LCD displays, whose native resolution is of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Also coming with ExpressCard slot, a HDMI output, an 8x DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a 5-in-1 card reader. It was introduced in early 2008 to fill the need for a compact with long battery life and a display that is bright enough to be read in full sunlight.
Now Getac B300 features a 13.3-inch TFT XGA transmissive ultra-bright, powere by Intel Core i7-620LM, whose clock is of 2.0 GHz, or 2.8 GHz on Turbo. It’s promises to boost speed by 67% while consuming just 25 W, and this capability is only complemented by the rest of the hardware. B300 also include advance security features like fingerprint scanner, TPM V1.2 and optional smart card reader.
