Even professional coders like to develop things on the side just for fun.Opera’s mobile dev team has been working on a “hobby project” to bring its browser to the Maemo-sporting Nokia N900 and N8×0 devices, and today sees the first fruit of that hardwork labor in the form of a “preview build” release. Fredrik Ohrn warns that there might not ever be a final version, since this is being done just for fun and particularly in light of the MeeGo future that awaits the platform but for now it’s yet another option for N900. Motorola Xtreme coming soon to Verizon

Posted: 14 May 2010 02:23 AM PDT

There is some incomplete news that Verizon will begin testing a new Android-powered device from Motorola next week which will be called the “Xtreme.” Not much info on the specs and pricing is known, but considering that Big Red’s got the Devour and the Droid is well on its way to middle age, it would make sense for a new phone from Moto (particularly one with such an Xtreme-ly awesome name) to be more toward the high end of the spectrum possibly something along the lines of the rumored Shadow (pictured below). Will post more of the details just as soon as we have them.
