There have been lot of images floating around in the net which says how the next gen iPhone 4G /HD might look alike and also you might be aware of the controversy of the iPhone leak and Gizmodo editor being questioned. The kids at Taoviet have posted some images and video of the iPhone 4G 16GB prototype they got from Vietnam. The Vietnamese site has got the snap of a 16Gb model of 4th gen iPhone.

It’s clearly pre-production judging by the XXX placeholders on the backside stamp and likely lacks a bootable OS, just a “Bonfire” test routine. Nevertheless, it looks authentic enough that we expect Apple’s henchmen to be busting down the guy’s door before he pries it open to reveal Apple’s chipset of choice.

Engadget spotted a difference from this model and the unit that Gizmodo bought. Notably, the pair of screws at the bottom of the device are gone. The cleaner design could indicate a newer prototype (closer to the actual retail model) though both the iPhone 3G and 3GS went to market with a similar pair of screws

Note the black “N90″ text on the white sticker that’s the rumored internal codename for Apple’s next generation GSM iPhone. Yeah, that looks like the A4 processor to us.Below are some teardown pics which shows an Apple branded processor.Speculation is also that unit was purchased for US$4,000.

If you notice the text next to the “N90″ codename  you woud see some number “339S0084″ on that chip from today’s fourth-generation iPhone teardown. Guess what? According to Chipworks, that’s the Apple A4 microprocessor fabricated by Samsung and the presumed work of Apple’s acquired PA Semi and Intrinsity engineers. The “APL0398″ text is also the same as that found on the iPad’s speedy and power sipping A4 system-on-chip.

Posted: 12 May 2010 02:02 AM PDT

Previously i had posted Samsung had plans to launch a Android based tablet to counter attack Apple’s ipad. Thanks to Apple’s 1 million sales on the ipad has triggered many tablet design makers to join the league and Samsung electronics is one of them.Just recently, the famous Korean maker has announced a next generation targeted mainly for its local market. Named as S-Pad, it will be equipped with AMOLED that offers much saturated color resolution while at the same being enhanced with other cutting-edge technologies.

However, not much details on hardware specifications yet but those already on the table include the availability of WiFi and 3G network connectivity as well as a USB dock for synchronization and file transfer. The machine will be preloaded with Google Android Operating System and it is expected to get contents directly from Kyobo books as well as its own Apps store.Good news now, consumers should able to own the unit at more affordable price since it will be getting subsidies from SK Telecom. No exact pricing information yet, the official launching will happen some time in August time frame.

Other design makers like Asus, HP, and MSI will also have released their products by then, so it will be a nice competition to look out for. Samsung is no stranger to the MID or UMPC form-factor, So this combo of AMOLED with Android OS is worth waiting. What’ say !
