Amazing Art: 3D Glass Paintings. Posted: 04 May 2010 07:18 AM PDT When we came across these images we thought that these are some sculptures, but later we knew that these are the creations of artist Xia Xiaowan. These 3D glass paintings are created using layers of glass panes. Inspired by the method of X-ray photographs, he gives a three-dimensional effect to the two-dimensional painting. He maintains the hand-made qualities of the painting by combing material, technology and painting while adding elements of installation and sculptural art. (Image credit: tejiendoelmundo).
