Microsoft to unveil new set of Social networking Phones by April 12

Previously i had posted about Project Pink and after that there was no news regarding that, now according to Wall Street Journal we'll finally see the official results of that unveiled at a press event this coming Monday, April 12.Project Pink is reportedly releasing a line of mobile phones featuring social networking integrations aimed at a young generation.The "Pink" line will reflect Microsoft's taking a more hands-on role in developing the hardware side of the mobile spectrum, as opposed to their more typical strategy of handling the software operating system and letting partners design the phones themselves.

They've also designed some undetailed "online services" for Pink phones in addition to the software and hardware, while Japan's Sharp Corp. will handle the actual manufacturing.Some of the new phones will be available already later in April on Verizon.As of now not much info is available and it’s really difficult to comment on how things go about.Let’s wait for more info to arise.

In a shocking news, premium Windows Mobile manufacturer HTC’s CEO Peter Chou in an interview with Elizabeth Woyke of Forbes this week that his company would make a Windows Phone 7 Series(as this was removed from the tweet mentioning it) handset by the end of the year.HTC’s claim that even though Nexus one sold only 135,000 units during the first two months they still consider Nexus One was a success and they also claim that the device has managed to bring in new business for HTC.It also gave more importance that HTC was top Android brand in the market.Chou said he is "thrilled" with Windows Phone 7 and that HTC expects to release a device running Microsoft new OS by the end of this year.

With Sense UI and HTC Evo 4G rocking, consumers buying HTC devices have roughly the same experience, regardless of operating system, and it also helped to differentiate their hardware when compared to every other slate touch screen device on the market.Since Microsoft essentially said "you have to use this chip, this screen, these features, and we control the UI", people were wondering whether HTC was going to skip Windows Phone Series 7.That has turned false.

HTC has pledged loyalty to Microsoft time and again, even making the premium HD2 a Windows Mobile exclusive, but conspiracy theorists might suggest Microsoft returned the favor by denying the HD2 entry to Windows Phone 7 Series.We have already seen 3 Windows phone 7 handsets(Asus, LG panther and a pimped WP7S version of Samsung Omnia HD) but none were from HTC. So this gives a awesome opportunity for HTC to make a impact on the market !
