Panasonic DMP-BD85 Blu-ray Player Electronics

Posted: 13 Feb 2010 12:30 PM PST

Last week we take a critical look at the DMP-BD45, a well-meaning if disappointing attempt to bring Panasonic aos Blu-ray brightness to the masses. And, as promised, this week will be followed by a review of its big brother, the DMP-BD85, which is currently the best model in the specified range (until the 3D-DMP may BDD300 fate later This year, that is).

Panasonic DMP-BD85 Blu-ray Player

As the most advanced (and expensive) player in the line-up, the BD85 Profile 2.0 is equipped with an arsenal of advanced features, most of which are absent from the BD45. Chief among these is support Wi-Fi, which lets you connect to the Web or stream content from your home network, making it a strong challenger to wireless bridges as BD390 LG and Sony BDP – S760.

But the main difference between the BD85 and its rivals is the Wi-Fi adapter itself – there ISN, AOT built in. Instead, Panasonic provides a USB dongle in the box, which plugs into a port on the Rear drive, or you can use the supplied cable extension so it’s hard to find the wireless airwaves. Built-in Wi-Fi has the Sony and LG is clearly the most attractive option on paper, especially since Panasonic aos square shaped dongle is much larger than your average USB key, but in truth he aos without inconvenience, AI, once installed, you Äôll forget aos even there. She aos Note that this USB dongle is supplied with the BD85 but, to aos optional BD65 cheaper.

Like the Sony BDP-S760 and LG BD390, the BD85 supports 802.11a/b/g, and the specifications faster n. Having a wireless connection is a cinch to download or listen to the BD Live content, but it certainly doesn, aot do it faster. Terminator Salvation, aos BD Live portal took several minutes to access, although the clips flow fast enough and play without problem.

The bridge is also DLNA certified, meaning that you can nose around in computers and the NAS on your home network and access music and photos stored on them. And using Panasonic Viera Cast aos bridge, the gate is still more content available, including videos from YouTube and photos to Google Picasa. [via trustedreviews]

Dell Inspiron Zino HD Dekstop PC

Posted: 13 Feb 2010 03:30 AM PST

Not to be confused with vanilla Inspiron Zino, which is based on the atom office has no authority to deal with certain daily tasks let alone HD video, HD Zino is a desktop suitable . Indeed, although CPU and GPU options are somewhat limited, you can configure one with up to 8 GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive.

Dell Inspiron Zino HD

Returning to the comparison Cute VS HD Zino, by looks only Dell is the clear winner. In fact, unless the Mac mini from Apple is pretty much more attractive to non-Atom desktop PC we’ve laid eyes on. It measures a diminutive 197 x 197 x 85mm and weighs only 1.6 kg. Its soft curves, symmetry and well-integrated white backlit power button to contribute to a machine that would not look out of place on an office designer or below a TV costs a few grand, and it certainly much cuter than the Cute. Nor do you see the ventilation openings disfiguring (apart from the single fan at the back) because they are well hidden in the base is slightly raised.

Like most Dell laptops and some popular consumer desktop line, the HD looks Zino is also highly customizable with a veritable plethora of color and design choices for the top. These include piano black in our sample, blue, green, orange, pink, purple and red, and del Infinito Horizonte, Green and Red Swirl Scatter. The latter, a biological model of different shades of red on white is my preferred choice, but there should be something for everyone. The top cover is a doddle to replace as it comes off by simply pressing a button on the rear of the chassis and clicks back into place easily.

Unfortunately, the shiny finish like fingerprints and dust, as much as ever and easily scratched, but this is less a problem on a machine you do not need to touch often compared to laptops, we often complain speak. Construction quality is decent but not exactly the toughest around, so this system should be treated with some care. The upper panel interchangeable flexes a bit but the main frame does not suffer from obvious shortcomings. [via trustedreviews]

Sharp Aquos LC-32LE600E 32in LED Backlit LCD TV Display

Posted: 13 Feb 2010 12:30 AM PST

Although I have now tested a large number LED-backlit LCD TVs, one thing has been remarkably absent from Canon LED ‘: small screen size. Whether because manufacturers Led as a premium technology, or because doing the work of LED backlighting well on small screens is difficult, the simple fact is that so far directly televisions LED Backlit were 40 inches or more.

Sharp Aquos LC-32LE600E 32in LED Backlit LCD TV

It is therefore with some interest that I pursued by Sharp for a sample of his 32LE600E. As its name suggests, this 32in TV is just everywhere, and yet it has certainly Sharp End Direct (rear instead of Edge-mounted) lighting system LED. Moreover, its price trend suggests that this LED to go with larger screens is not down to technical difficulties. For just 450 pounds, the 32LE600E seek low prices, even for ‘ordinary LCD TV, never mind an LED one. In other words, if any TV has the size and utility recession-friendly price to make really big LED on public television, that’s what Sharp.

Strangely I also think the design of Sharp’s LED range LE600 sits more comfortably on the 32in model than it does on one of the greatest displays of the mark. The group of metallic silver in the bottom of the screen, highlighted by a small triangular pattern in bold logo Sharp has always presented a pleasant contrast against a reasonably thin shiny black bezel. But because the 32LE600E is smaller, you do not notice as the rather plasticky finish which is located beneath the glossy surface.

The 32LE600E is respectable rather than spectacular connected to its price level, which means it has three HDMIs (one mounted on the side) rather than four, and even if it has a D-Sub port for PC multimedia use It does not follow the growing trend towards including a USB port for reading image files from USB storage devices. There is no way out because, whatever, that 32LE600E is not well described dramatically once you look beyond his innovative analysis of backlight LED. There is no 100Hz motion processing, first – in fact, there are few major video processing at all next to a “brilliant system Color ‘to boost color saturation.

Local dimming, for those of you unfamiliar with the term, describes how televisions can direct LED control clusters of LED lights individually, so that you could possibly have the extreme brilliance in some of image, and almost total darkness (with LED off) to another. Clearly this fact has a potentially profound impact on the contrast of an ordinary screen potential versus LCD lighting systems, where the entire image, light and dark pieces like, is illuminated by a single, always on source of light. Samsung C7000 3D LED LCD Display HDTV

Posted: 12 Feb 2010 06:30 PM PST

Samsung have launched their new 3D HDTV and it is ready for pre-order now. Three versions of the TV are available to purchase which includes three models C70000 Samsung each have a small 3D processor. The three screens measuring 40 inches, 46 inches or 55 inches depending on the model you purchase.

Samsung C7000 3D LED LCD HDTV Display

The C7000 40 inch is the least expensive models (no surprise there) and costs $ 1799.98, even if for some reason or 3D glasses needed to use the TV in 3D. Each TV uses 250Hz Clear Motion technology and everyone has Internet @ TV is activated for use.

The built in 3D processor has been designed with Blu-Ray 3D new standard in mind and, therefore, you should have no worries that the technology will be obsolete as soon as it leaves the status of pre-order. A Blu-ray is available as one that is compatible with the 3D (numbered from the BD-C6900) and is also compatible with the shutter glasses needed asset. It is expected that the BD player, TV and 3D glasses will be sold as a package, I hope to keep the cost of all this at a decent price. [via gadgetvenue]
