Posted: 04 Jan 2010 04:57 AM PST Rumors were spreading about the release of Apple’s new tablet named the iSlate.Apple reportedly had asked developers to prepare their existing iPhone apps for larger displays.Previously Macrumors had discovered that the domain iSlate was purchased back in 2007 by the name Markmonitor so as not to disclose the real owner. Steve jobs seemed to be extremely happy with the tablet quotes from nytimes. Here is what he quotes
There were many prototypes out in the net but one of them looked real.Check out one of the snapshot and the video below for the prototype video courtesy NoWhereElse Click here to view the embedded video. If you check the video above you can see a user is shopping for IKEA furniture with all the multi-touch features which you would see in a iphone. From Design to animations they look smooth and sleek.Do check out the multi touch concept behind this in the next video Click here to view the embedded video. There would be two sizes of the tablet namely the 7″ and the 10″ one.The 7″ inch tablet is rumored to be out in this month reports from Boygenuiusreport. As mentioned above Apple asked devs to work on the apps for larger resolutions than the ones on the iPhone. Once the 7″ tablet would be released rumors of 9″ and 11″ would also be released.Macrumors is quoting Taiwan's Economic Daily paper, stating that Cheng Uei Precision Industry today had received an order for “connectors” for Apple's new tablet computer. According to the reports, the company is likely to begin shipping the tablet in the 3rd quarter of 2010. More details on the tablet was provided by Google China’s ex-President, Kai-fu Lee(thanks to Neowin). He made a blog post regarding Apple’s upcoming tablet, claiming inside information on the upcoming mystery device. What he says is what we know till now but that would be nice to hear from a reputable source. This is what he quotes
Engadget explains why Lee’s post has high credibility. “What really got our attention is Lee’s link with Foxconn — the Apple OEM is one of the main contributors to Lee’s post-Google investment venture, Innovation Works, so there’s a good chance that Lee’s spoken to someone overlooking the manufacturing of a certain Apple device.” So in all what we can expect is some points listed below
I will update once i get more info on the same. Are you eager enough to buy this ? |
