Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS7 Digital Camera Posted: 27 Jan 2010 11:35 AM PST Yet another digital camera from Panasonic today the LUMIX DMC-ZS7 which further expands the pedigree of the ZS Superzoom acclaimed series of digital cameras have enough in the world follows today. You will find that is just a punch 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica lens, coupled with a powerful 12x optical zoom, which works even when recording video. This power of 12.1 megapixels performer also comes with a new integrated GPS (Global Positioning System) which will incorporate your photos and videos with both latitude and longitude details of locations, making it useful when downloading snapshots of your photos online on a sharing site, and also doubles as a history of sorts for you to refer to the future, when the memory starts to fail you in regard to holidays past. To make things more interesting, ZS7 LUMIX is also proud to bear the title of the smallest photo / Superzoom hybrid digital camcorder in the world to the point of publishing, is perfectly capable of recording videos in high definition (HD ) thank you video for its ability to record AVCHD Lite. The inclusion of a dedicated button to save the video next to a shooting manual mode spice things is a little, which would mean a learning curve of sorts for beginners, while experienced shutterbugs who want to the jump to DSLR might want to check out the DMC – ZS7 before making the jump to get a better idea about the work of the control manually. Other features available on the Panasonic Lumix ZS7 include Sonic Speed AF (Auto Focus), a time of shutter release time lag as short as about 0.006 seconds a short startup time of about 1.1 seconds, an automatic adjustment internal clock to local time, Intelligent resolution capability that has been incorporated into its Venus Engine HD. Hmmm, with its chipset GPS enabled, we hope that the battery can hold shoots during the marathon (or two 340 shots on a full charge), but just in case make a spare battery with you forever and as a portable charger. No idea on pricing, but the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 digital camera should hit the market soon. [via coolest-gadgets] a |
Posted: 27 Jan 2010 08:35 AM PST These babies are monsters, two satellite speakers are always allocates a huge 75W per channel, backed by a big brute of a subwoofer pack a powerful 150W RMS. Powered by Amplifier S-Master digital, it is a hideous powerful speaker system office. And let us remember that as we continue, these are speakers designed to sit within a few feet of you, your office, not its distribution throughout your stay. If you want a set of these you are, or after speakers that can pack a punch Tyson force or if you’re already so deaf that nothing else will work. It is not surprising that this is – literally – a heavyweight, with the whole package pointing to a powerful 10kg, give or take 100g here or there. What is surprising is how much of this weight reduction for the sub. The satellite units are solidly built about 14cm wide, 20cm high and 10cm deep, but they are actually quite light, weighing only 700 grams each. With a 2.5-inch horn and a bass port at which they are designed to manage high-end, midrange and some low end frequencies, giving a smooth crossover to the sub, but at first I was not particularly optimistic . Compare satellites Sony satellites provided with, say, superb game Altec Lansing MX5021 or Logitech Z2300 system, then take the bog-standard, Bell, son of wiring into account, and you do not come out with a lot of faith that BSS-DB500 will work, The subwoofer, however, inspires more confidence. It weighs a back-busting 8.5 kilograms (bend your knees when you stick it under your desk!) And, as mentioned earlier, includes an amplifier S-Master digital found in more conventional Hi Sony -Fi and home cinema kit. The driver of 160mm at the end of the bass port sounds great, and it is not the only thing that does. As for SRS-GD50iP system, we examined last week, Sony’s engineers have decided to occupy us with lights, placing a ring of red light around the volume button at the top of the system. Not only does this work as a volume indicator, it also vibrates and rotates to the beat of music or sound effects to your listening with three different effects that you can select using the supplied IR remote control (sadly missing my review sample). iPhone Google Voice Web App HTML5 Posted: 27 Jan 2010 05:35 AM PST The application works just like the web version used on a desktop PC and lets you make calls, send text messages and listen to voice messages. Contacts can also be accessed on mobile browser. For months, Google [GOOG] have tried to get Apple [AAPL] to accept the Google Voice for the iPhone. For various reasons we wont go into it, Apple has always refused the request. Thank you to HTML5 Google launched Google Voice as a web application that allows Google to be used for voice on the iPhone (and the upcoming Palm). Synchronization is also possible that you can sync contacts from your Palm or Apple iPhone Pre with what you’ve already stored in your Google Account vote. It’s a smart move forward for Google to do it this way but it would be nice to have Apple approve the application, but suffice it to do for you! [via gadgetvenue] a |
LG 42LH3000 42in Display LCD TV Posted: 27 Jan 2010 03:35 AM PST January is traditionally the time to negotiate the world of television, and this seems true with the buttons on the recession still plagued early 2010. In hot on the heels of a cheap as chips week last Sony TV, here we got our hands on a 42-inch Full HD LCD TV from LG, the 42LH3000, which can be yours for about £ 500. So what’s the catch? Apparently nothing, if outside 42LH3000 is anything to go by. To begin, the glass type finish looks and feels anything but cheap. But as bold minimalist design with a curved glass of good taste along the bottom edge and surprisingly large blue / red power light work together to create a very stylish addition to your living room. One begins to get used to looking for LG to push the limits of what kind of features we hope to see lower prices. But in reality, the 42LH3000 is quite small bits and bobs of interest. When it comes to connections, for example, has only three 42LH3000 HDMIs rather than the four we now seek to be more or less standard on large screen TVs – even cheaper. Even more disappointing, given the usual LG enthusiasm for the world of multimedia is that if the 42LH3000 has a USB port, it is purely for the use of services. In other words, you can not use it to read photo, video or music files stored on a USB device directly through the TV screen. The 42LH3000 on-paper specification is a mixture of good and “meh”. Meh on the side, the contrast ratio (for what it is) is quoted in an uninspiring 50,000:1 – and only reached, of course, via a dynamic contrast that tarnishes the luster during scenes dark colors to make black look more convincing. Stiff Competition Apple Tablet PC Posted: 27 Jan 2010 12:35 AM PST Tomorrow we should finally see the unveiling of the Apple tablet, this tablet is attracting much attention, despite the fact that there are many other competing devices to talk to. A recent article posted on Electricpig discusses 10 smaller competitors, some of which are already released, some of which are to come. A device that will be a close rival Apple Tablet is Slate HP, although there is still much unknown about this device, I’m sure HP build quality and price will be on hand. Another device that may be a strong competitor is the Microsoft rumor Courier, if this mechanism proves to be true, there should be two 7inch screens, functionality, e-reader and a camera. Other competing devices we should soon see include compressed Dell Android, DR Asus 570, Asus Eee Pad, the Foxconn Tegra Tablet and a range of tablets already released, to learn more about these either click the device name or see Electricpig.
