The device has the largest e-paper screen with higher resolution and is the thinnest e-reading device. Skiff Reader 11.5-inch screen has a resolution of 1200 × 1600 and is based on leaf sturdy stainless steel display e-Paper. The display supports finger and stylus operation and is unbreakable, crack-proof. Yole e-Reader supports both the Sprint EVDO 3G and WiFi, allowing access to the service Skiff and digital memory for the purchase and access to newspapers, magazines, books, blogs and other content from several publishers. Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD 500 GB Media Players Posted: 05 Jan 2010 02:01 PM PST Iomega has announced the latest digital media to their devices, the director Iomega ScreenPlay HD Plus ScreenPlay HD and the ScreenPlay TV Link Director, each of which promise to funnel your video, audio and images on your HDTV. The high-spec Director ScreenPlay HD Media Player has 1 TB of storage on board with an Ethernet connection for playback in DLNA streaming over a network, there are also three USB 2.0 ports for connecting external storage, a USB WiFi adapter or cameras for direct reading. It supports up to 24fps HD 1080p video playback H.264, WMV and MKV (among others) plus YouTube streaming, Shoutcast Radio, RSS feeds and podcasts. Director Iomega ScreenPlay HD will arrive in the United States later in January 2010, priced at $ 249. As for the Iomega ScreenPlay HD Plus, it leaves the network connection and supports either 720p or 1080i HD via HDMI, there is also a single USB 2.0 port. Nowadsays, all have at least one cell phone and sometimes you may just walk away and accidentally leave their phone behind. That is what Zomm device designed to solve. Once Zomm connects to your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, it will sound an alarm if you’re away from your phone.
The device also serves as a hands-free Bluetooth with a microphone for two-way communications and AA speaker for hands-free functionality. It also includes a button for emergency call. Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station Posted: 05 Jan 2010 08:31 AM PST We have a feeling Iomega have kept an eye on Pogoplug, since the new Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station offers the same type of network connectivity for USB devices. Basically, a remote access with NAS no possibility of storage on board, iConnect has four USB 2.0 ports for connecting external drives or memory sticks, with a gigabit ethernet port. Iomega give owners a custom web address that allows them to access content on any drive connected, whether to do so from a PC, Mac or Linux. From this interface it is also possible to remotely administer the, iConnect establishing BitTorrent downloads or initiate a backup from networked machines. In addition to remote access, it is also possible to duplicate the contents of one drive to another (with a One-Button QuikTransfer touch on the front panel) and share up to two printers. It also offers UPnP DLNA media streaming, photo slideshows and simple Iomega throw in some backup applications also. Samsung ST1000 Compact Ultra Thin Digital Camera Posted: 05 Jan 2010 06:09 AM PST Anyone who is shopping for a new mobile phone recently, has not failed to notice they are not only more mobile. The most recent devices have more computing power and storage capacity of data that most personal computers was five years ago, and includes advanced features such as mobile Internet and e-mail commands to the Touchscreen, GPS satellite navigation, WiFi, Bluetooth, and of course always more powerful digital cameras. It is not too surprising that this same technology is finding its way into the market for digital cameras too, especially when a leading camera is also a leading manufacturer of mobile phones. ST1000 new Samsung like no other camera compact ultra thin and has a photographic specification which, while undeniably good, is not about to get pulses racing. It features a 12.2-megapixel sensor and a CCD mounted corner 5x zoom (equivalent to 35-175mm) with double optical stabilization and digital image, characteristics which are matched by a dozen competing models . It has a nice slim, measuring just 18.9 mm thick, with a beautiful and well finished plastic body that is comfortable to hold and available in a range of combinations of two tone colors. So far, so ordinary. However, there are additional features of the ST1000 that it aside, because it combines a series of high-tech gadgets that are more commonly used in advanced mobile phones. The most obvious is the large 230K 3.5-inch touch-screen monitor that occupies almost the entire back of the camera, but it also includes an integrated GPS receiver for automatic location tagging, Internet high-speed wireless and Bluetooth connectivity and DLNA Home Network compatibility, used for viewing photos on TVs and other devices that support this standard. Of course, all the technology that pushes the price up, the ST1000 is currently selling for around £ 270 which puts the top of the price range for compact cameras, alongside models like the Canon IXUS 990IS or the Sony DSC-T900.
