Canon i-SENSYS MF8050Cn Color Laser Printer Posted: 03 Jan 2010 10:15 AM PST The idea of adding a flatbed scanner and automatic document feeder (ADF) for a color laser printer to make a multifunction printer business continues to get more popular and Canon i-SENSYS MF8050Cn is designed for small businesses or small workgroups in large enterprises. The control panel itself, although busy, is well presented with a dial-up fax pad to the right, with the copy commands. In the center is a five line, backlit LCD screen with three buttons on the main mode of copying, faxing and scanning back and a ring of navigation in the front. There is a USB front panel just below the control panel can take a USB drive, but it is limited to backup images scanned into PDF files and can not manage appointments printing. This is the second multi-function printer we’ve reviewed recently with this limitation, which restricts unnecessarily taken these otherwise useful USB. It is a fully networked multifunction machine designed for printing and copying in an office, but it has a single 150-sheet tray with no way to add a second, although there is a single-sheet multipurpose slot. Let us suppose newsgroups Canon have all said “150 sheets will be good, as we have a constant stream of students with work experience whose primary task is filling the tanks on our multifunction printers? The color laser engine is the same as that installed on the LBP5050 and CP1215 HP Color LaserJet CP1515n and models, among others. It is a very simple design, when the four toner cartridges and drum sit in a slide-out drawer and just drop into place. You should leave a ribbon sealing each before leaving, but otherwise the machine is easy to configure. [via trustedreviews] a |
Apple Wins Lawsuit Popular iPod Posted: 03 Jan 2010 05:35 AM PST In 2006, a class action was filed against Apple, alleging that their popular iPod was defective because it can produce sounds up to 115 decibels, which can cause hearing damage after exposure to long term. The case was dismissed in 2008 because the plaintiffs have not provided proof that iPods are defective, or so they had been personally harmed by their use iPod. No documents of the trials showed no evidence that the plaintiffs themselves suffered no hearing damage at all. Instead, they said that iPods could theoretically cause hearing damage if used incorrectly. The Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed that dismissal in 2008. Senior Judge David Thompson said: “At most, the plaintiffs pleaded a potential risk of hearing loss not to themselves but to other unidentified iPod users.” It is for iPod users d ‘properly use their iPod, and that’s how it should be. Posted: 03 Jan 2010 02:30 AM PST Ccording to recent reports, we can expect some new mobile phone that evokes the trio of the moment: Sprint, Microsoft and LG Electronics, at the coming CES 2010 (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, USA. It seems they will totally make an announcement of weight, but in consequence, we will take with a grain of salt. We will be present at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 and see if all the nonsense worth it.
The rumor on the new Android mobile phone LG LS680 multiply, but if both models are compatible is still uncertain. A screenshot of the stock system of a supplier is the only clue at the moment. LG’s new Android phone, the LG LS680, should be equipped with a touch of big screen size and the Google Android OS. Which version is unknown, but it is assumed that this will be version 2.0 or higher. Apparently, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, and Dan Hesse, president and CEO of Sprint Nextel, will make a presentation at CES 2010 in Las Vegas. Maybe Mobile WiMAX service has an important role throughout. [via letsgomobile] a |
