We’re looking into this and waiting on a response from Twitter” .I thought it might be fixed shortly, until i read twitter being hacked by Iranian cyber army. The message read some thing like below

Twitter has been facing these issues in the past also when the vulnerabilty was observed and their web servers were misconfigured to reveal internal network information.I have no idea of what the motive behind the attack is.I think i have seen the same screenshot in work when one of the clients complained of their site being hacked.I think things are slowly getting back to normal and its updated in the twitter blog too saying “Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We are looking into the underlying cause and will update with more information soon.”

I could open my twitter and the search also seemed to be working fine. There is speculation at the moment that this may be a DNS redirect, which means that the Twitter.com domain has been redirected to the defacement page.

Twitter’s Platform Lead engineer Alex Payne has a funnier update on the current status.Twitter co founder Biz Stone blogged

As we tweeted a bit ago, Twitter’s DNS records were temporarily compromised tonight but have now been fixed. As some noticed, Twitter.com was redirected for a while but API and platform applications were working. We will update with more information and details once we’ve investigated more fully.

In the name of God, As an Iranian this is a reaction to Twitter’s interference sly which was U.S. authorities ordered in the internal affairs of my country…”
