Canon PIXMA MP990 All-in-One Inkjet Printer Posted: 22 Dec 2009 07:30 PM PST This is a big machine, silver and black, relieved by the fact that you can leave it closed when not in use and its 150-sheet paper cassette, which slides underneath, so that the tray rear, also 150 sheets, need to be open photos when you print or on special paper. Like many other models PIXMA, it can print on CD properly coated and white DVD, using a separate disk media, which slots behind a folding cover inside the machine. A small panel hinged lid to reveal the scanner control panel of the machine and also a large 93mm LCD screen. These measures include Canon-wheels, used to navigate in most menus, and large clear buttons for other functions. The scanner itself is a standard A4, the flat glass without ADF. Inside the lid of the scanner, however, is a removable panel that reveals a transparent and door-negative, which can be placed on the surface for high-resolution scanning of photographic media. A cover is rather flimsy, embedded in his right hand, curved edge of the machine reveals three memory card slots for CompactFlash, SD and MemoryStick, and xD cards. There’s also a PictBridge-making, which folds in half to read USB drives. At the rear of the machine are taken to the USB and Ethernet, but the PIXMA MP990 also offers networking wireless. Wi-Fi setup is simple enough, though entering a WEP access code with just the click-wheel is a bit long. Canon provides a set of software to protect the machine and includes a copy of the photo editor ArcSoft PhotoStudio, and the usual package. There are drivers for Windows and Mac included on separate CD. [via trustedreviews] a |
