With Nokia slowly falling behind the curve when it comes to smartphones segment Android and iPhone are taking 75% of the Webtraffic in the US(http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/23/apple-and-android-now-make-up-75-percent-of-u-s-mobile-web-traffic/).Nokia seems to be making a comeback with E72 which was released internationally a week ago.This was launched in conjunction with Nokia 6600i Slider phone.But this has some awesome features from it’s predecessor.As similar to E71 Business oriented phone this is also a Qwerty based phone.

The specs are vastly improved, and it promises better battery life too. The E72 runs on Symbian OS Series 60 v3.2 and 600 Mhz ARM 11 processor,128 Mb ram, a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens in place of a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 3.5mm audio jack in place of a 2mm audio jack, an optical joystick for easier scrolling, and a full version of Quick Office. It's a good phone if you aren't into the whole apps ecosystem, it also has active noise cancellation which makes conversations clearer.Comes with a internal storage of 250MB expandable upto 16GB. Other features include Nokia Messaging, FM Radio, A-GPS support, Java, Digital compass, Nokia Maps 3.0, multimedia player, document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), flash lite v3.0, Push to talk etc. Nokia E72 is priced at Rs. 22,989 in India. | Nokia 6600i Slide launches in india with price tag 14k Posted: 25 Nov 2009 12:52 AM PST I don’t know how many users are fan of Slider phones,I am kinda sceptical about them.Nokia has launched the uber-sleek 6600i Slide in India, which features a 2.2-inch TFT screen (16 million colours, 240×320 pixels), a 5 mega pixel camera along with a dual LED flash and auto focus with an 8X zoom along with a accelerometer for 'tap-to-mute' and 'tap-for-time' features. What’s this feature all about is, when you get a call, you can mute the ringing sound by double-tapping on the display when the phone is closed. You can reject the same incoming call by double-tapping again on the display. Similarly, you can display the clock by double-tapping the phone's screen when it's idle.
Video recording is kinda mediocre,as it can shoot VGA resolution, at 15 frames per second.Only thing that fails me is the internal storage memory is just 20MB and that could make the phone go dead slow.It comes with a 1GB microSD card which can be upto expanded to 16GB.Other features of the 6600i Slide include 3G and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, stereo FM radio, Flash Lite 3.0, Nokia Maps ( no GPS on the phone) and microUSB port.Supports formats such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA, and video player supporting 3GP, and MPEG4.

US citizen’s might be knowing this.Apple has announced that they will be holding a one day shopping event on Friday, November 27th. In the U.S., the day after Thanksgiving is called “Black Friday”, which is historically one of the busiest shopping days of the year.Luckily i got off from office for ThanksGiving day.Apple has begun emailing international customers this teaser page(http://store.apple.com/ie/browse/campaigns/black_friday_teaser) about the sale day.via@chrisrooke This would be a one day sale only and you would be able to get huge discounts on Apple stuff.Over the past several years, Apple has participated with one-day specials at both their retail Apple stores as well as the online Apple Store.
