| Verizon release iPhone Release date in the 3rd quarter of 2010 Posted: 10 Nov 2009 03:30 AM PST It is no secret that Verizon customers are waiting out to get their hands on the Apple iPhone, but if you looked at the ads bashing iPhone, the release date seemed far.But as per new report that suggests that a Verizon iPhone could still be released in 2010. According to Wired, research firm OTR Global expects to see a Verizon Wireless iPhone in the third quarter of 2010. The firm also claims that Apple are now working on a "worldmode" iPhone, this will then make it compatible to work with the Verizon carrier. This is because Verizon is a CDMA network and the iPhone is only configured to AT&T's GSM standard. The original report that AppleInsider received stated that the Verizon iPhone will come with a smaller screen, 2.8-inches rather than the standard 3.5-inches.Rumors are spreading and i don’t know how true is this fact.We know that Apple's exclusive with AT&T is all set to end in 2010, but we recently assumed that this deal would be extended. Verizon have been working on Apple since the launch of the iPhone to be able to offer the smartphone to its customers. In other news related to this, AT&T has recently filed a lawsuit and intends to sue Verizon over those recent ads.Who was right here.Post your comments on these. |
| New iPhone update fixes sync problem with Windows 7 Posted: 10 Nov 2009 03:24 AM PST There were cases that iPhones were not syncing with Windows 7 namely the new P55 motherboards. There was nothing the users wit these boards could do to fix and be able 2 sync their iPhones with Windows 7.Gigabyte Technology issued a BIOS update on Friday that fixes a problem for some Windows 7 users who have been unable to sync their iPhones.Intel, Microsoft and Apple said they were investigating the issue, which people are complaining about on an Apple forum. The problem seems to be mainly affecting Windows 7 64-bit users with Intel P55 chipsets, and it prevents them from syncing their iPhones with their computers. A few people posted on the forum that they'd downloaded the new BIOS from Gigabyte, a motherboard maker, and it solved the problem. In the description of the update, Gigabyte calls it a Beta BIOS and says that it fixes the iPhone sync issue, among other enhancements. Those with Gigabyte boards would be happy with this update.Others with ASUS and rest of them would sadly have to wait.Though an Apple employee asked people on the forum to send details of the issue, it does not appear to have posted further information about the fix yet. |
