Jailbreak iPhone 3G, 3GS with blackra1n Posted: 16 Oct 2009 02:15 AM PDT Few days back i had posted about blackra1n an app released by geohot for jailbreaking iPhones(2G,3G,3GS) and ipodTouch(1G,2G,3G) on 3.1.2 OS firmware. That was only available for Windows users and MAC users had to either wait or go with Pwnage tool.As previous mentioned in my posts,blackra1n is a 30 second ALL device 3.1.2 jailbreak. Even the ipt3, but the ipt3 is tethered. In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n.The process of jailbreaking is same as that on how you did it on Windows for Mac OSX.But since Pwnage Tool 3.1.4 is made available from Dev-Team its better to use that as it will preserve your unlock on iPhone.Go for blackra1n only when you are on the official supported carriers like AT&T and do not care about unlocking, or the one's with iPod touches. Users have reported that the carrier name or logo on the top left side of the status bar is missing.According to Dev-Team, this is caused due to a known bug in ultrasn0w and PwnageTool.Taimur posted a solution to get back carrier logo of your choice:

The update is to patch Internet Explorer 8 which ships with Windows 7 , in which Microsoft warned that there were 3 crucial vulnerabilities. What fixes are being included ? This update addresses three privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability. The security update addresses these vulnerabilities by modifying the way that Internet Explorer processes data stream headers, validates arguments, and handles objects in memory. Microsoft have released a patch package through Windows Update and users with automatic updates turned on, will have the patches delivered automatically.Microsoft has rated this update as critical and recommends all users update immediately. This security update is rated Critical for all supported releases of Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer 5.01, Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1, Internet Explorer 7, and Internet Explorer 8.
