Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Spotted Operating Systems

Posted: 18 Oct 2009 07:30 AM PDT

Although the image is fairly small and do not really watch that much detail, it is always good to see that the phone is to get closer to production. It should also X2 and X3 will be available at the same time they run several different operating systems.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Spotted

The Xperia X3 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor manufactured by Qualcomm, which should enable a device Snappy and probably good timing for Android 2.0, which was recently captured. Connectivity wise, the Sony Xperia X3 will connect on HSDPA networks and Wi-Fi but at this stage it is unclear whether it will be 802.11n, or more than likely down from that stage .

As one might expect on a device that capacity, the X3 will use integrated GPS location-based services and maps, etc…SatNav. The phone is expected to have a capacitive screen measuring 4 inches that can display a 852 x 480 pixels very good. This will also include an 8 megapixel camera. It looks set to be an impressive phone and if the X3 current specifications should be made official it will probably be one of the devices to compete. [via gadgetvenue]

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 Quickly Captured Digital Camera

Posted: 18 Oct 2009 05:30 AM PDT

There seems to be a concept that has quickly captured the market for digital cameras that what everyone really needs is a digital SLR can also shoot video high definition. Nikon it started with the D90 late last year, and followed with the D300, a video-capable version of its popular semi-pro DSLR, I’ll review next week. Not to be outdone Canon has partnered with its impressive EOS 5D MkII, featuring full 1920 x 1080 HD and stereo sound, and Pentax has added HD video recording at the new K-7 superb digital SLR. Panasonic has also taken the G-microphone system in this direction, in fact, I saw a nearly complete model of the GH1 at the launch event for the end of last year G1, so it’s obviously been planning this for a while.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1

The GH1 is in most respects, exactly the same as the original G1, not too surprising if they were both designed in the same time, so it’s probably a good idea to go read this review, for I ‘ do not like to repeat myself. The body is almost identical, which is distinguished externally by the addition of a stereo pair of microphones mounted on top of the pop-up flash and a dedicated button on the back to activate the video recording.

It has the same SLR-like look that the G1, with a handful of small but comfortable, a comprehensive but carefully positioned layout of controls, and a large and extremely sharp fully articulated three-inch 460k widescreen. Because the G1 lacks the reflex mirror and prism optical viewfinder of a conventional digital SLRs. It was rather an ultra-EVF Sharp, a field sequential display with a resolution of 1.44 million points. I must admit I still prefer a traditional optical viewfinder, but this is probably the best currently available electronic viewfinder.

The GH1 is currently only available as a kit with the new 14-140mm f/4.0 - f/5.8 zoom. This is very nice, which is equivalent to a very useful 28-280mm, and exceptional optical quality. It is specially designed for shooting video with one engine direct drive linear fast, but the silence of focus, zoom and smooth action. Unfortunately this kind of quality are not cheap, and GH1 kit currently sells for about £ 1,300. By comparison, top-of-the-line HD camcorders, as own Panasonic HDC-HS300 is about 800 pounds. LG Crystal GD900 Single Keyboard Phone

Posted: 18 Oct 2009 03:30 AM PDT

The Crystal LG is known for its crystal single keyboard that slides out from behind the camera, but did you know that can hold water (UN-officially) and some small fish? That’s what a guy did in creating perhaps the worlds first mobile phone fish tank.

LG Crystal GD900

The owner took the phone back off and put a couple of small fish in the back (I have no idea what kind of fish) and the back when it was injected on a little water aquarium .

As you can see in the picture above, the phone still works effectively as the backlight of the keyboard transparent. Take a look at the video after the jump to watch the madness. [via gadgetvenue]

HP C309g Photosmart Premium Touch Screen Printer

Posted: 18 Oct 2009 01:30 AM PDT

HP has released its way to design this machine very smooth, simple lines. The top cover, glossy black with a series of geometric lines in relief, not unlike some laptops and HP’s recent lifting the lid allows easy access to the flatbed scanner, but there is little benefit in the hinge to digitize books.

HP Photosmart Premium C309g

The fixed control panel has an inclined edge embossed with the touchscreen set almost as a separate unit on five key position. The screen is surrounded by six buttons for single-touch function, which light up when their functions are available. It is a capacitive screen, with bright backlighting and large icons. It is very easy to use and is somewhat more sensitive than the Lexmark. It has an aspect ratio of 7:5.5, which is better for photo previews of a wide screen.

Below the control panel is the standard rule paper tray, which can take both plain paper and white photograph. The printer draws the photo tray itself when you select Media Photo. A pull-out paper stop printing A4 sheets prevents slipping on the desktop, but increases the footprint of the printer is quite considerable. Two memory card slots for SD, MemoryStick and xD are set beside a USB to dual use, which connects to PictBridge-enabled cameras and USB drives. The rear connections include USB and Ethernet, but the Photosmart Premium C309g also supports the wireless networking.

Hardware installation is a breeze, just cut off five rounds - there are pigmented photo black - in the print head and go. Wireless setup is also very simple wizard firmware hunting for available networks and has a touch screen keyboard to enter a passcode. Installing the software is then using the printer and the network connection is painless. [via trustedreviews]
