HIS Radeon HD 5850 Design Provided AMD Posted: 16 Oct 2009 05:37 PM PDT Well, we were right on the money. Even after being on the shelves in recent weeks, the price of HD 5870 and HD 5850 still hovering around 300 pounds and 200 pounds, respectively. The particular card we are considering today is made by his, but it corresponds exactly to the reference design provided by AMD. It actually requires a little more than his brothers in the shops could be found in for no apparent reason. This map is very similar in design to the HD 5870. Indeed, the entire 5000 series (including the new mid-range HD 5770 review coming soon) features the same black and red livery. At 242mm, the HD 5850 is a small (40 mm) shorter than the HD 5870, though. That basically means that there is no longer that of a motherboard is wide, it should be disposed of in a case of form factor ATX. We are not the sticker HIS adds much to the proceedings, though. Eyefinity new technology, AMD has postponed the HD 5870 so you always get a choice of four digital outputs, 2 x DVI, 1 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI. As for the HD 5870, however, you can only use three exits at once and at least one of these elements must be the DisplayPort. It always gives you the opportunity to perform three 30-inch displays at once, however. VGA analog output can be obtained using a DVI-VGA converter, one of which is provided in the box with this card from HIS. You can also output digital audio via HDMI and DVI ports, with special DVI-HDMI adapters, offering a connection to a single cable to your AV receiver or TV. In recent cards add support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bit-stream so that they now support all major DVD and Blu-ray audio stream. [via trustedreviews] a |

Posted: 16 Oct 2009 04:07 AM PDT The look and feel of the BDP-831 is suitable for a player who has high aspirations. The case is solid and reassuring weight and brushed aluminum fascia is devoid of crowd pleasing embellishments - it is understated, elegant and seriously esoteric. We love the cluster of silver buttons on the right, next to a USB port for playing digital media stored on USB key - and as we shall see, the opponent supports a dizzying array of formats. Equally gratifying is the rear panel that leaves nothing to chance. Naturally, you get HDMI v1.3, component and composite output video while the audio range-up includes a set of analog 7.1-channel, separate analog stereo mixing optical and coaxial digital audio ports. This comprehensive set of audio taken in conjunction with the OPPO on-board HD audio decoders, means the OPPO is ready to serve any sound system. This will output Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio bitstreams to the cutting edge receivers boast HDMI v1.3, and the proper decoding, or production as the HDMI PCM or analog multi-channel amps for less sophisticated. Apple iPhone 3G S Firmware Jailbreaked Phone Posted: 15 Oct 2009 12:30 PM PDT In recent days we have seen a number of places to mention that Apple has shipped a new iPhone 3G which has the S BootROM finally set to block 24kpwn exploit. Many people knew it would not be long before it was also hacked, and Curiously, he did. The boot ROM does not really new exploit 24kpwn work, but rather just an added obstacle in the way that hackers were able to move. There is a drawback in that if your device to start the phone must be attached to your computer. However, this will probably be sorted in a few weeks as the iPod touch with similar question was. The whole cat and mouse that has passed since the launch of the iPhone and as far as Apple [AAPL] want to get rid of problems, there are those around who are smart enough to find another way for equipment . Apple is even trying to make it illegal even if the jailbreak until the jailbreakers just need to be careful not to copy any software and just make the adjustments needed to break in.
