Dell adds the latest Intel Core i7-820QM mobile processor as an option for its XPS series Studio 16. The 15.6-inch multimedia laptop has the processor from Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 Core i7 re-820QM.

Acer is certainly not rest on its laurels. Following a recent wave of new product releases is the All-In-One Z280G ThinkCentre desktops. By focusing on energy and space saving qualities, Acer is aiming firmly at the computer market trade.

The Z280G Aspire features a 18.5 “widescreen LCD monitor, offering a 16:9 aspect ratio with 1366 x 768. The unit is less than three inches wide, making it perfect,” said Acer “for reception areas, hotel lobbies … and any office that requires an integrated space thanks to their design.

The inclusion of an Intel Atom processor Ultra Low Voltage 1.60 GHz eliminates the need for a fan, which means cooler, quieter operation, with all being Energy Star qualified. Specifications wise, the Aspire Z280G has a hard disk of 160 GB, 2 GB RAM, 802.11 b / g wireless and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.
