Windows 7 RTM delayed Posted: 11 Jul 2009 08:52 AM PDT Windows 7 RTM was confirmed to be out on the second week of July i.e July 13.I was excited when the 2 days will pass out so that i can download the RTM once it gets released.Now you will have to wait a few more days as the RTM release is delayed reports from Geeksmack.They think that due to several show stopper bugs which might be dealing with activation,the RTM build has been delayed from the initial date. This is what Geeksmack had to say Today was pretty much the deadline that Microsoft internally set to choose and decide on an RTM build, but from what we're now hearing none of the builds thus far have been deemed good enough, and so they're continuing to compile RTM candidate builds. Backing this, in the recent Microsoft press release regarding the executive re-shuffle, they stated this: "The transition between Reller and Veghte is timed to take place in late July when Windows 7 reaches the release to manufacturing (RTM) milestone". Again, when we initially reported on the matter, internal sources and other forms of evidence led us to believe that the RTM was coming, and I can safely say that at the time it was confirmed and it was going to happen, but with these new show-stopper bugs present Microsoft had to make a change to the roadmap to accommodate the time it will take to iron them out. These are the releases after 7265 6.1.7266.0.win7_rtm.090626-1902 – RTM Candidate 6.1.7267.0.win7_rtm.090629-1952 – RTM Candidate 6.1.7268.0.win7_rtm.090701-1900 – RTM Candidate 6.1.7269.0.win7_rtm.090706-1900 – RTM Candidate 6.1.7270.0.win7_rtm.090708-1900 – RTM Candidate 6.1.7271.0.win7_rtm.090709-1520 – RTM Candidate Not sure on the last of the two build numbers though i will update if i get more info.Thanks to VG
