After the news that RTM would be made available by June 26th turned false Geeksmack confirmed reports that Windows 7 RTM will be out on second week of July.More confirmed news was received when i was reading on the Microsoft site as well as Neowin.

This is good news as not much time is left for the date to arrive for the release of RTM until Windows 7 hit stores on October 22nd.Preorders are going good as the orders are already sold out in Japan. Why pre order is the question ? The answer would be a 58% reduction in price for Upgrade for Home premium and a 50% reduction for Professional.Check image below. For a complete info on Preorders take a look at Windows7center

Here is the quote from Microsoft's OEM Division Corporate Vice President Steve Guggenheimer during a keynote address at Computex 2009 in Taipei

The company is confident with the progress made with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and that as a result, Microsoft will deliver Release to Manufacturing (RTM) code to partners in the second half of July. Windows 7 will become generally available on Oct. 22, 2009, and Windows Server 2008 R2 will be broadly available at the same time.

The date, July 13, also coincides with the kickoff of the Worldwide Partner Conference that is taking place in New Orleans. From my previous post i gave the builds after 7260.Now some more builds have been compiled which are mentioned below

  • 6.1.7266.0.win7_rtm.090625-1902 – RTM Candidate
  • 6.1.7267.0.win7_rtm.090629-1952 – RTM Candidate
  • 6.1.7268.0.win7_rtm.090701-1900 -RTM Candidate

There are still unconfirmed rumours that RTM be out on  July 22nd and not on the 13th.Lets wait and watch.MSDN,Technet might get it on same day or in a few days to come.
