Activision presented Thursday its new venture known as the Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The game is based on the highly anticipated 3-D animated feature film from Twentieth Century Fox, which released yesterday.
The game allows players to choose their favorite characters and embark on a journey through fifteen levels. It allows them to choose between Sid, Manny, Diego, Scrat and break a hunting weasel eyes Dino and Buck. The characters pass through a mysterious underground world of dinosaurs, while solving puzzles. In this game, players are taken on a quest across the frozen tundra in a jungle. With six playable characters, the title allows you to control the fans and segregated combat capabilities of the individual while changing game challenges. Rob Kostich, head of marketing for the license, Activision Publishing, Inc., states, “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs allows children to play as some of their favorite movie characters on their own, or, for the first time in the series, with their families and their friends in multiplayer mini-games. Family Game Night will take a whole new meaning as you compete hilarious challenges Throw Sloth, Sloth Dino Chase and deadlines using your Wii Remote or the joystick. The screen is multitouch and allow over 10 points of contact simultaneously at a very high refresh rate. As the predecessor (also named DuoSense) also uses this capacitive touch controller that allows to use both the pen and fingers if necessary. The screen is transparent and at the top of your screen. The electronics required to operate the DuoSense returned to the edge of the frame.
This technology will be great to use when Windows 7 launches in August as it has native support multitouch integrated operating system.
