It has 250Gb of capacity with USB controller and each platter can store 125GB. | The native interface of the USB hard drive virtually eliminates the cause of loss due to cable. The player claims to consume about 40 percent less energy than standard 2.5-inch hard drives. It also improves performance by eliminating the time required to convert the USB signals PATA signals. The SpinPoint N3U is available in 120GB, 160GB, 200GB and 250GB capacities. The disk rotational speed of these players is about 3600 rpm and it supports USB 2.0. Readers also include a cache of 8 MB of memory. This hard drive has been designed to offer a smaller footprint, consume less energy and provide excellent HDD performance. This drive eliminates the need for a gateway that converts a PATA interface board in an interface that the USB drive itself features a native USB interface.
