In addition to learning about woodworking in woodshop, you can also start on side projects, such as this high-powered coil gun, which is a portable, bolt-action single stage model with a 6-round mag. A coil gun basically works by using electromagnetic coils, in a linear electric motor configuration, to accelerate magnetic projectiles. For Simpsons fans with TomTom GPS units that can get enough of Homer, this voice skin is just for you. Priced at $13, “even the shortest drive will transform into a journey to remember; you’ll see, driving with Homer is as easy as 1,2…doh.” Video after the break.

He’ll give you colorful directions like “take the third right. We might find an ice cream truck! Mmm…ice cream.”

At $800 on eBay, the SEGA TeraDrive “allowed for Mega Drive games to be played the same time as the PC section is being used, as it is possible for the Mega Drive and PC hardware to interact with each other.” Auction page. Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Its interface consisted of a start-up menu with several options, including a file manager, DOS, a clock and Mega Drive mode. There is very little English information known about the TeraDrive or about software development on the platform, with any known information relatively scarce.
