Assassin’s Creed II PC’s DRM gives a nail in the coffin Posted: 31 Mar 2010 03:32 AM PDT Ubisoft the publishers of the second sequel to the popular RPG Assassin’s creed were in plans of curbing piracy on the PC and would soon include a internet connection to play the publisher’s games. This is turning out to be true as Assassin’s Creed 2 would also need a internet connection to play the game.As per the Ubisoft’s online services Q&A confirms that there would be “no offline option” to play the game and the need of a internet connection. The worst part is that if the internet connection be interrupted at any time while playing, it’s unplayable until that connection is restored.I don’t understand this methodolgy, if such measures are added there won’t be much time when crackers would soon get a offline mode patch.

And if you have a rock solid, up 24/7 connection ? There’s still bad news, as “any time Ubisoft’s ‘Master servers’ are down for any reason, everyone playing a current Ubisoft game is kicked out of it and loses their progress.”Keep checking the above Q&A page for more updates on this.
