NEC DLP Mono Speaker Business Projectors Posted: 04 Feb 2010 02:45 PM PST NEC will release in Japan four new DLP projectors for business, part of the series ViewLight NEC projector. The NP64J NEC NP63J, NP54J and NP53J provide XGA resolution (1024 × 768), a contrast ratio of 1,600:1 and rather low 0.3W mono speaker. The NP53J and NP54J have 200W lamps producing 2600 lumens, while the NP63J and NP64J feature 220W lamps lumens of brightness with 3000. Moreover, these DLP projectors also support JPEG, PNG, BMP and GIF file formats. NEC plans to start selling projectors ViewLight in Japan February 10, 2010. Sanyo XACTI CG102 Digital Camcorder Posted: 04 Feb 2010 11:45 AM PST Sanyo recently announced Japanese camcorder Xacti, the DMX-CG110 NR and DMX-sh11, have been confirmed for the U.S. launch. Now known as the CG102 XACTI and GH2 – with another vertical model, the GC20 – specifications are unchanged with the two older models still seizing 14.4 megapixel stills, and all three manage HD 1080i 60fps video. Meanwhile, the Xacti GC20 resolution still drops down to 10.7 megapixels. Sanyo SDXC have added support for memory cards and cameras have a 5x optical zoom lens with a few tricks, can apparently be extended to 12x. The former president of Taiwan, Scott Lin has seen confirm that it will stick to netbooks and SmartBooks and while he did not reject the IPAD Specifically, he questioned its relevance in the broad sense: “Historically, closed platforms are typically limited in terms of scale and are confined to niche markets,” he said. “Apple has built its business by carving his own niche, which means that if Apple could see success with devices like the IPAD, other players will probably not be able to reproduce his results simply copy”.
