New themes for Google Chrome 3 Posted: 06 Aug 2009 06:14 PM PDT Few days back Google updated the version of its Google Chrome browser to Ver.3 Beta along with offline installer.Today they have introduced some nice looking themes for its browser.It includes a set of themes in a gallery so that the UI and look and feel can be changed from its default.Chrome is moving in the lines of Mozilla Firefox. As times past by we can expect more new features in the field of plugins and themes.For the time being try out the new set of themes to revamp your browsing experience.You will need to have the latest Google Chrome 3 beta build,to install the themes.To install the themes click on Apply theme once your in your Chrome 3 Beta. Microsoft retail stores logo revealed Posted: 06 Aug 2009 06:07 PM PDT Finally the logo of Microsoft stores has been copyrighted.The logo was filed last week i.eon July 28th at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.Microsoft had plans to open stores in Scottsdale,Arizona and Mission Viejo,California.They have also confirmed that it had signed leases in both spots as part of an effort to launch its first retail outlets this fall. The Orange County, Calif., store is in a mall that already houses an Apple retail store. Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner said at this month's Worldwide Partner Conference that some of the locations would be right near Apple stores.
The filing describes the logo, which bears much resemblance to the Windows and Office logos, as follows: The mark consists of four squares arranged in a rectangular grid. Each square is colored to form three square-shaped regions within the square, with the color of each region gradating from dark to light toward the center of the design. The upper left square design is red, the lower left square is blue, the upper right square is green and the lower right square is yellow. The squares are separated by blank space. |
Windows 7 RTM now available on MSDN/Technet Posted: 06 Aug 2009 10:36 AM PDT Finally time has come and Windows 7 RTM(build 7600.16385) is now available on Microsoft Connect along with MSDN and Technet for Technet Plus subscribers.Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are available for download in English.Other languages will be out soon by August 14th which include French, German, Italian, Spanish,and Japanese. Microsoft Connect For Connect users they will get a mail of the invitation for Windows 7 Technical Beta Program that they will be getting a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.Testers have the option of choosing either to download the final build or to receive a boxed copy (limited quantities).
