Packard Bell EasyNote TJ65 Notebook

Posted: 27 Aug 2009 12:06 PM PDT

Before NJ65 EasyNote arrived, it had been many years since we reviewed a Packard Bell PC. However, it has now been acquired by Acer, the company goes through a bit of a renewed United Kingdom. The assault on the budget end of the market is its EasyNote range and today we look at Cousin’s more slightly cheaper the NJ65, the 15.6in TJ65, which can be yours for only £ 450.

EasyNote NJ65

As usual, the cover is brilliant (the Sony VAIO VGN-NW11 / S is one of the laptops that are not uncommon), but the angle the honeycomb EasyNote’s patterned gold finish is better to hide fingerprints than most. The inset chrome Packard Bell logo is a nice touch, although the cheap looking silver hinge is not quite in place.

The opening up of the TJ65 shows an attractive combination of silver with matte black and shiny, even if the hinge is very visible too blatant. On the bright screen with windows is a piano-black-red zone containing the indicator icons and backlit touch controls, including the “buttons” for Eco mode, backup, wireless and volume, as well as that disables the touchpad. To be honest, it’s an amazing place for her and we’d rather the implementation on Acer Aspire 5810T Timeline Timeline and other machines, when this button is next to the touchpad.

Contrary to that found on Packard Bell EasyNote NJ65, the keyboard on the TJ65 - which now includes a full numeric keypad - is excellent. Reaction of the keys is a bit on the side of light, but also makes it very quiet and there is no sign of flex that plagued his younger brother, while the layout is impeccable and large, the key matte feel good.

Thank you to position the touch pad, you’ll rarely need to turn it off, we had very few cases where we accidentally moved the cursor with our palm. Its buttons are one of the few unique features on the EasyNote range, as they are incorporated into a very attractive and transparent chrome toggle switch that extends beyond the edges of the PAD. Unfortunately, although the left click is a pleasure thanks to good reviews and a large hot spot, right click is too stiff and requires you to extend your thumb too far.

Connectivity is standard fare, with a Gigabit Ethernet port, VGA and HDMI, two USB ports, microphone and headphone jacks and a card reader on the left, plus two USB ports and DVD-writer residing on the law EasyNote’s. In fact, the optical drive is a major concern potentially create quality here, as the lid of the tray slightly above the chassis on one side which could lead to accidents. [via trustedreviews]

And with the rising popularity of netbooks, 720-S is a great need for secondary display space for additional display and display shared.

It is interesting to note that the portable monitor will cost $ 229.99, including shipping, and we do not recommend this to those who travel a lot with a netbook. Otherwise, get a notebook with a bigger screen, and people use desktop computers, the same price you can net more than a decent 18.5 “screen. [via coolest-gadgets]
