Maxell unveils flash memory line-up, includes USB flash drive plus microSD card reader combo

Maxell Flash Memory Line-up

Maxell is introducing a bevy of flash memory assortments which includes a totally interesting USB flash drive plus microSD card reader combo.

The aforementioned combo gizmo has 16 gigabytes of capacity, a conventional USB plug on one end and a microSD card reader on the other end. With microSD dominating a big portion of the market, Maxell made a wise move to integrate a reader into one of their upcoming products.

What happens though if your USB flash drive suddenly gets corrupt and totally unreadable? I hope that doesn’t take down the microSD card reader aspect of the device.

HTC Touch Diamond2 (Verizon Whitestone)Verizon is getting the HTC Touch Diamond2 sometime later this year and it will rumoredly be codenamed “Whitestone.”

It’s also getting a bit of a makeover with what looks similar to metallic speaker grills (or an extremely fine cheese grater!).

Specifications include but are not limited to:

  • WM6.1 (would’ve been nicer if they were able to squeeze in WM6.5 instead)
  • Qualcomm 7600 @ 528MHz
  • 512MB ROM/256MB RAM
  • 3.6-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen
  • 5-megapixel autofocus camera/Anti-handshaking
  • gpsOne (aGPS and full GPS)
  • GSM/CDMA World phone

According to the guys over at WMExperts, September/October 2009 is likely the release window for the blinged out device.
