| Sony Alpha 500 and Alpha 550 DSLR Camera Posted: 29 Aug 2009 08:18 AM PDT Sony unveiled 2 new DSLR camera Alpha 500 and Alpha 550 with CMOS Exmor Sensor which allow you to get better result in Low Light condition and also using BIONZ image processor. The Sony Alpha 500 come with 12.3M pixel sensor and the Alpa 550 come with higher sensor 14.7M pixel. Both of them featuring 3-inch LCD display with live-view mode. It has many features such as tilt at 90 degrees up or down, quick autofocus, smile shutter and many more. The ISO of both Sony Alpha camera has range up to ISO 12800 with shooting speed 5fps (A500) and 7fps (A550). Also you can find in-camera high dynamic range (HDR) for capture highlights and shadows and this will process the image within 2 seconds. The SteadyShot from Sony technology give the image stabilization which already built-in on the camera. The HDMI output also included and external SD/SDHC & MS Pro Duo slot on it. The price of Sony Alpha 500 around $750 (body only) or $850 with 18-55 kit lens. The Sony Alpha 550 price around $950 (body only) and $1050 with the 18-55 kit lens. Both of them available on October 2009. |
