Facebook Lite to compete with Twitter?

Facebook Lite is a faster, simpler version of Facebook in your mobile phone. But as what bloggers and some technology site reviews have reported, it is somehow a look-a-like application of the world's most visited microblogging site, Twitter. But the statement have confirmed that Facebook Lite is a fast-loading, simplified version of Facebook that enables people to make comments, accept friend requests, write on people's walls, and look at photos and status updates in mobile phones of those countries having limited access to broadband.

As i check with other technology bloggers, i found it like a twitter-like or a friendfeed version. Just for the knowledge of everyone, Facebook Lite has come to reality after the acquisition of Facebook to content-sharing service Friendfeed.
