D-Link Routers Captcha Security System Posted: 13 May 2009 10:15 AM PDT Captcha is a security system that you may know when connecting or registering new accounts on forums, blogs and other various types of sites. The technology was designed to stop people using automated methods to open numerous accounts and start sending their junk around. D-Link announced that Captcha will be published in a firmware update on a number of their routers to prevent automatic connection attempts to go beyond your home network. The new firmware on the D-Link routers will prevent access to common pages of the router settings and if you choose to update your firmware, you should see the new captcha in place.
